Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is the largest in the UK and the fifth largest in the world. This fascinating and unique building is a historic landmark famously described by Sir John Betjeman as "One of the greatest buildings in the world".
Set within the heart of the city we have developed an excellent reputation for hosting a variety of events ranging from large-scale, high profile galas to cultural programmes. From its majestic, expansive, Great Space to intimate oak panelled function rooms; from the ornate Lady Chapel to the modern presentation theatre, Liverpool Cathedral has a full range of distinguished spaces to hold your event, and a team of Event professionals to assist you through every part of the process.
Although smaller than the Main space, the Well is no less spectacular. With stunning views through the Dulverton Bridge to the High Altar, it offers an exceptional view of the Cathedral.
With a natural stage, this space is perfect for receptions, intimate dinners and concerts. Artistic lighting can really transform any space in the Cathedral creating an extraordinary setting.

May 2024It was a spectacular entrance leading up to the cathedral. But the inside will blow you away. With the large stained glass windows. There is a small activity for children as you enter on your right. And there is also provided craft stations. A cafe and a gift shop also make up the room. You also have the option to go up to the top. Tickets cost around £7 for adults and £5 for children. The views are incredible, being able to see across the whole of Liverpool. You don't have to pay to get in but there is an optional donation which goes towards the cathedral. It is a must vist.

April 2024This is Britain’s largest cathedral. It is an imposing red brick structure which is fairly modern in the world of cathedrals. There are chapels to be found inside the church demonstrating how large the church is. There’s access to many parts of the church which is great. The interior is highly maintained, boasting high ceilings and stained glass windows. It is fairly modern compared with several places but still worth a visit. For a fee, you can also climb to the top where you can enjoy aerial views of the city and beyond. The main church itself is free to the public. There is paid parking on site. It is a similar fee to other car parks nearby so you can even leave your vehicle here and walk downtown which is about 15 to 20 minutes walk. There is a cafe/bistro within the church. The church is approximately 30 minutes walk to Albert Docks and 7 minutes to Chinatown.

May 2024An impactful experience with a magnificent construction. The cathedral is huge and well maintained a temple of peace and prayers. We arrive during service by 3pm it was lovely to hear the chants from the choir and feel the blessings of the bishops. There is a fantastic area within the cathedral where you can seat and enjoy a meal or a freshener.

May 2024Huge. It just keeps going on and on. Extra rooms all around the place. Massive gift shop and nice cafe. Lovely feel to the place, it is worth a visit, especially as it is free to enter, which makes you happy to spend money there.

May 2024Apparently the largest Anglican Cathedral ever built. Free entry. Amazing structure and space. Also a reasonable priced bistro but the gift shop a bit pricey (acceptable as it supports the cathedral). Went in for a visit and a look round. Left over 3 hours later and hadn't even been on the tower experience. Will do that next time. Plenty of volunteers/ guides around . Definitely recommended.
