Personal was super nice and sweet. The atmosphere was lovely. Room was surprisingly comfortable and really clean. In the rooms there was bottled water for guests and the bathroom had shower gel, shampoo and moisturizer for guests. They also took into account if some of them ran out, the cleaner brought a new one instead. Bed was really pleasant to sleep even it was a bit soft (to our useual taste) we slep really well there.

The hotel is beautiful. The inside is a bit dated. The lobby is fine. Lots and lots of stairs. Be prepared. The breakfast is pretty decent. A bit pricy for what you get but the price of the room was quite reasonable so it evens out. Staff were helpful, not very personable but no complaints. Bed was comfy enough. Pretty decent stay to be fair.

A very grand old building with lots of charm and character to it. I stayed in a ‘castle room’ which was a standard room with more space. My room was clean, smelled fresh and looked very modern. The tiles in the bathroom could do with a good deep clean as there was a few areas in the joints that contained what looked like black mold. I also noticed an area below the windowsill that looked like a big damp patch when I went to close the curtains over which really didn’t look good. Personally I found the bed very hard, it had what felt like a mattress topper on it but this didn’t make the bed any more comfortable. I didn’t get a good nights sleep. The worst part of my stay though was breakfast. The server told me I had to make my own toast and my cooked breakfast was very greasy, it hung on me for the rest of the day. I also found a long dark hair when I cut into one of my sausages which was really unacceptable, it really put me off eating any more food from the hotel. Overall I think the hotel is a lovely old building but the bed and breakfast side of things is slightly disappointing.
