I visit this hotel weekly for a business meeting and surrounding my weekly commitment I use this space as a client meeting point for it's quiet space and reliable Wifi. Usually I'm greeted by two very professional and friendly staff members Mohammed and Claire. Both are approachable, always smiling and willing to help no matter what the query is. Thank you Mercure for your hospitality and I recommend this space for networking and business meetings.

This hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay at. From friendly staff to delicious food and impeccable service- there is nothing more I could have asked for. Thank you for a wonderful and enjoyable stay. I will be back soon!

I visit this hotel quite regularly on business trips. I have always found the staff and the service to be excellent - always going above and beyond, and everyone is very friendly. The rooms are very comfortable too, and the place is clean and quiet. I have also found the restaurant to have a surprisingly good range of food, with good quality. The free wifi is also very good - never had trouble with signal and it is fast enough for most needs. Thank you to all the Mercure staff for making my stays pleasant and comfortable.

Service at reception of this hotel is very poor. Specifically booked a family room as I had kids to be told on arrival, another guests room wasn't ready so they were given our room. We were then put in a non family room which couldn't fit us. Colleague on reception Laura was rude and couldn't understand our frustration around now not being able to fit in the booked rooms. Also incorrect information available around breakfast times. The same colleague continued with her substandard service by insisting we had read the times incorrectly even though it was in all rooms. The remaining members of the team were a great help and supported wherever possible but this one colleague makes this hotel a strong avoid.... if you have an issue it will be your fault and you will be treated poorly on the back of this.

After being told multiple mix ups and multiple difficulties for my best friend who was bride to be about this hotel, I was apprehensive from the start. We were apart of the wedding party who booked multiple rooms to check in after the wedding at The Old Mill, Aldermaston, however was greeted by an extremely rude and cold receptionist, who quite frankly pretty much threw the key at me. We checked in and all be it the room was clean enough and fine, basic facilities but very stuffy and hot!! Anyways I pop over to the bride to assist in helping her out of her dress who also was hot and stuffy so I popped down to reception to ask for some cold water for the bride which never arrived, even after chasing where it was! The next day we went down for breakfast in which the bride had reserved a table for 10 for us to all have breakfast together to find out no table was set up for us and made it seem it like it was such task to put a few tables together. Breakfast was nothing special, standard buffet food that is sat out under heat lamps. Again on check out, we were “greeted” by the same cold and rude receptionist without even a thank you or have a nice day. I would highly recommended some customer service training especially as this is your first point of contact. All in all, it is NOT a hotel I would hurry back too or rebook again.
