Perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. Didnt want to leave. Love the decor, the beautiful hardworking smiley staff. Lovely cosy rooms very comfortable beds Great team couldnt do enough. Spare blankets would have come in handy as weather turned very cold. Couldnt operate tv sadly.

We had our wedding last Saturday at Astley Bank and wow. The whole day was seamless. The staff were attentive and friendly, food was amazing and hotel looked stunning. We can not recommend Astley enough. We had the most amazing day and a large part is down to the wonderful people who work there. A special mention to the wedding co ordinators Veronika and Lauren. Fabulous from the start in every way and extra mention to Veronika who got us through the day !! Can't recommend this little gem of a place enough. Thank you, lots of love Mr and Mrs Tighe xxx

I checked into here on the 17th September 24 and I was expecting a really nice stay for the price I paid for 3 nights in the executive room. On arrival the reception staff where rude and made you feel uncomfortable straight away. Went up to the room, looked very nice upon entering, soon noticed a few issues nothing major at first,a few black hairs on bed, ripped wallpaper. The room was very warm so we opened the windows and all you could smell was a overwhelming smell of urine. You couldn't close the window as it was stifling. Also we where supposed to get a queen bed and they had pushed to single beds together. Everytime we went out the reception staff looked at you, made you feel very unwelcomed. The beds where hard. I stayed one night and left the next evening. We paid for 3 nights 2 people with breakfast, and we didn't even stay for breakfast as while stood outside I witnessed a cook picking his bottom,so I definitely didn't want to eat there. This hotel is a 4 star and shouldn't be. The building is lovely with all lovely decor but the staff and room was very disappointing. The Uber driver who picked us up went into to use the toilet said when he spoke to reception staff that he was made to feel uncomfortable. Zero customer service. It felt like if you don't spend money there not interested in you. The cleaner was more attentive than any other member of staff. Very very disappointed
