We celebrated a family birthday in the Garden suite on Sunday 8th September . The location is beautiful as is the garden suite. Staff were helpful and polite. All in all this made a very special birthday perfect

I love this place because I had my wedding reception here 2 years ago. We returned on our anniversary this year ,just for the night. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, food is excellent , and to acknowledge our anniversary the hotel put a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries in our room, and provided us with champagne at dinner. The location is great, you are not far from Woking, but you feel in the middle of peace and quiet. Definitely recommended.

Lovely venue, hidden away in Hook Heath in Woking. It's in a very affluent part of Woking, next to the golf course, so it's extremely peaceful and serene. The venue itself is nicely laid out with plenty of outdoor space and lots of parking for cars. Split into 2 buildings, with rooms and conference facilities on site. There is a lovely garden to explore, with outdoor seating on the patio, but also on the grass too. Service was a little slow and laboured, but they were young and possibly inexperienced. The biggest challenge is the price... I get that they're trying to be a wedding venue, but the price of food and drinks was ridiculous. £6.50/pint, and a bread basket was £6?! Main courses were £20+, which definitely isn't worth it, when the Drumming Snipe is down the road and much higher quality. I guess it's one of those places you come to attend a wedding, conference or party, but as a local I couldn't go there on a regular basis due to the very high pricing

We stayed one night in a standard double room in the newer block. We paid £135 for two people for bed and breakfast and overall, we got what we paid for. The room (47) was a little tired, but clean and everything in working order (shower was poor). If we were to stay again, we’d prefer the main house. The main building and grounds are stunning and certainly what make the stay. The ladies on reception were helpful, cheerful and ready to help. We had a drink in the bar which was also lovely. Breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast - fine, nothing innovative but we left full. Definitely room for improvements on allergy awareness and Gluten Free options that are also vegan.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding and were initially impressed by the beautiful grounds and the wedding venue itself. The staff at the venue were incredibly helpful and made the event run smoothly. However, our experience with the accommodation was quite disappointing. Despite the high price, the room offered only basic facilities. The cleanliness was subpar; the room had not been hoovered, there were water marks on the taps and shower screen, and the toilet brush was in a disgusting state. Additionally, we had to pay extra for an uncomfortable camp bed for our 3-year-old, who ended up sleeping with us because the bed was so bad. Overall, the room was overpriced for the quality provided. When we raised the cleanliness issues with the staff at check-out, they simply said they would inform the cleaning staff. No apology was offered.
