From the moment the wonderful receptionist Victoria checked us (nothing was too much hassle and she was so warm kind and friendly) to having dinner in your restaurant and been waited on by the lovely Lee (who tells us he is only new, but was so helpful and attentive) , our stay felt so special from start to finish. The room was so clean, spacious and the atmosphere in the hotel is welcoming and warm, and for this reason, we will most definitely will be back, your staff are a total credit to you and the location is just perfect for the theatre and shops.

Stayed at this hotel from 19 to 23 August with a coach tour. First impressions on entering were an extremely clean hotel. Our bedroom was excellent, but, more storage would have been good. All the staff we had contact with were extremely friendly & helpful, especially Ken, nothing was too much for him, any problem, sorted. The food was excellent especially the breakfast.I would not hesitate to use this hotel in the future.

We just checked out of Maldron hotel after a 12-days stay! As a family of 3 we really enjoyed the hotel. The staff (all of them and particularly Scottie) are just the best staff anyone could meet. They are friendly, professional, and very helpful. The rooms don’t have fridges but they did their best to provide our room with one for our baby’s food. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The lobby, the restaurant and the outside area are ideal for gatherings, meetings and also work. The hotel’s location is excellent and convenient for university students and for sightseeing. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who would like to stay in Newcastle city center. P.S: the food is great! We had breakfast there everyday. Lunch and dinners for a couple of days as well. Oh and there’s a super cute, super smart robot butler that you might bump into when going up and down the elevator:)

A very warm welcome at reception. We had already booked in online. The staff made sure all our requirements were taken care of. This is a very smart hotel. The room was immaculate. The bathroom was spotless. All the staff are cheerful by default. The bar staff looked after us very well. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. We have stayed in a few hotels in Newcastle, this hotel is up at the top. Thanks for a very pleasant stay. This is the second Maldron Hotel we have stayed at. They have both been exceptional.

Not really impressed with this place, first impression and check in was nice and easy. The room was fine, tv only worked on 5 channels because the signal was lost. The shower leaked and wasn’t descaled. The noise levels from the street was shocking and kept us awake, I accept this to be the city centre but sound proofing should be better. Not convinced the air con worked. The service in the restaurant that evening was poor, we had three separate staff come to take our drinks order, which took ages to arrive. Then our food order, which had to be taken twice and then checked. One of the waitresses wearing all manner of jewellery was somewhat course and abrupt. The food was okay. The tub chairs are just awful to have for dining, not suitable and give you a poor posture when eating! The location of the hotel, decor and parking is excellent.
