Open Tuesday to Sunday and FREE to visit! :) The main museum collection is now one of social history, although originally the museum had a wider remit when it came to collecting artefacts from all over the world. This Museum is s an intriguing mix of Victorian and 20th century architecture. With the popular permanent attractions of The Victorian Gallery and Lark Hill Place, as well as the ever changing exhibitions, there is always something for everyone at Salford Museum and Art Gallery, from hands-on activities and workshops to modern art.

I absolutely liked it, especially Victoria Street! The gallery is just bursting with amazing artwork, and Victoria Street has this magical charm. Definitely a must-visit spot for art lovers!"

We recently visited the Salford Museum for a junk model insect session. While the concept sounded fun, the session was less interactive than expected. It mainly involved picking up materials and crafting something on your own, which felt a bit uninspired for kids. That said, the museum itself is lovely and worth a visit. There are some enjoyable coloring activities available for children, and the café offers a nice spot to relax. Overall, it's a pleasant place to spend some time, though the workshop could be more engaging.

The victorian street is immersive and interesting to walk around, a lot of fine detail has gone into each shop. You look through windows, not actually entering the shops. The victorian art was impressive, with work showing many places around the UK.
