This is an excellent property in a lovely area of London. It is a residential area of London and therefore avoids the pitfalls of some London destinations. Nearby are the Natural History Museum- the building itself is breathtaking and the V+A ( my personal favourite)But it is on the Piccadilly line so every museum is accessible. The rooms are well appointed and well designed and reflect excellent value for money- accommodation in London is more expensive than most European cities and properties close to the most iconic tourist sights reflect this even more strongly. The staff in the hotel are lovely- very eager to help in any way. We are members of the Bonvoy group- which I would recommend since it seemed to afford us even more than anticipated privileges. For example we arrived very early in the morning but a room was made available immediately- much to our surprise and delight. We were offered complementary beverages in the breakfast room straight away as well which felt very hospitable. A unique feature of the hotel is that they have an agreement with the next -door gym and guests can use all the gym resources. There is no hotel gym that could compete with this upmarket, well equipped gymnasium!! Travellers who like to work out should strongly consider this accommodation choice. The breakfast Buffet contains all the expected items and there is adequate seating to ensure that no-one feels crowded. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was such a warm experience and went a long way to my happy sojourn in London

Recently stayed here for 8 nights. This hotel met my expectations and needs. Reasonably-sized clean rooms with daily cleaning and all the usual amenities. Comfortable beds with the ability to control the temperature of the room. Well located for attractions and restaurants. The rooms were mostly quiet at night, unless you had an especially noisy neighbour. Just a few things to note, I would recommend double checking the agreed upon price at check-in. For me, the price listed in their system was higher than what I booked the room for online. Thankfully, the concierge quickly corrected the price on their end with little hassle. Also, I would suggest bringing your own dish soap. In my room, I noticed the used cups were not changed daily, but rather were cleaned. Not being entirely sure what constituted as a “cleaning” for this (e.g. Was a dish rag reused for every room?), I ended up rewashing the glasses, mugs and spoons myself before each use.

During our 4 day stay we never had someone come to clean our room; we had to constantly keep asking for toilet paper, towels, what kind of Marriott is this? Some of the employees would come in without knocking and were rude. The manager was very helpful in trying to correct issues but it’s not his fault at end of day. I hope the Marriott would correct this.

I checked in at 7pm it took almost an hour to check in 3 people at the counter. Hence by the time we had checked in the lounge had stopped serving food. As an elite member with a child who had checked in already online and provided preferences I would have expected that since I was a later check in, things would be prepared especially after years of loyalty with the programme and as a matter of good customer service in a world recognised hotel brand. However beyond this so far I just see dirty floors everywhere and not such great smells around the hotel. Cleanliness and Service are the two basic expectations when spending thousands of pounds. I have tried to call at your service twice and concierge once. I have had one hang up and two no answers. Where is customer service? There seems to be a smart TV that has had its functionality disabled..... perhaps.... I can't get anyone on the phone to see if its an issue or if some hotel in 2024 really did disconnect the smart apps.... perhaps not a smart move. The location however is its one saving grace. Let's see how the rest of the the stay pans out but at such a low starting point I assume hopefully it can only get better.
