Christmas At Copthorne Tara Hotel
Scarsdale Place, London, W8 5SY -
Up to
400 guests
Where this four-star property comes into its own for a Christmas party is its sheer variety of spaces for hire.
The most capacious are the hotel’s events suites, which were refurbished to the tune of £2m late last year. The Shannon Suite is where to book for sizeable standing affairs, or, if you’re catering to a food-first group, consider one of the hotel’s three restaurants. Our favourite is Bugis Street, which delivers an à la carte menu covering Singaporean, Malaysian, and Chinese cuisine for up to 40 seated guests. A handful more can then be added to the party for drinks over at the hotel’s colourful West 8 Cocktail Lounge and Bar, which opened in April 2015.

Great hotel for a theatre visit. Steve the doorman was very welcoming and helpful. Front desk was excellent dealing with us very quickly and sorting our parking. Spent the afternoon in the bar which was reasonable priced for London. Great service. We had standard rooms which were clean and of a good standard. Would recommend.

I recently stayed at the hotel and had the pleasure of interacting with Kai, a member of the hotel staff who truly made our stay exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Kai went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. Their warm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease, and they were always available to assist with any questions or needs we had during our stay. Kai's attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service really stood out. Whether it was offering great recommendations for local attractions or making sure our room was perfect, Kai consistently went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated and genuinely caring. Thank you, Kai, for making our stay memorable. We will definitely be returning, in no small part due to the outstanding service you provided!

Everything works, everything is clean, lots of old period features and retro interior which actually is quite appealing in many ways. Staff and service were great. Only 7 minutes from the high street and underground, and 20 minutes walks to the RAH. The front of the building and entrance needs a face lift. Overall, it's been a great stay and the views of London from the room were fab too.

I stayed in the hotel this Sunday. The room was spotless and the view was lovely in the night. Reception team was very friendly and bubbly. I really liked the centrally controlled lights switches so I didn't have to keep moving around the room switching off lights. The views were nice, I was surprised to see the London eye (didn't think it was close). The hotel is so close to the station so its easy to travel around. I also loved that it was so close to Kensington Palace.

The plate used to serve the food has a very strong fishy smell. The lights in the room often the power is out when I'm not sleeping and it opened itself 3 times in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. I reported it to the reception but I don't think they will fix it because it keeps happening on the next nights so bad experience hotel👎👎👎👎 The picture in my post is of me asking for a blanket and soap because the shower gel was not replenished.
