Good food. The only -1 point is because the starters were soo good they outshined the rest of the mains. We had part of the festive menu. You had to book a few weeks in advance. The patron peppers were soooo good. So were the cheesy sourdough bread. Their bbq style is genius.

Delicious nouveau BBQ cuisine set in hipster surrounds with a good mix of small and large sharing plates. Excellent options of vegetarian, pescetarian and meat options with a fortnightly menu change using seasonal ingredients. Start with the restaurant staple of Sourdough with marmite yeasted butter, even if you hate marmite, this is delicious. Mutton merguez sausages and coal roasted leeks and the mackerel were all incredible starter sharers, all outstanding. But the standout dish for us were the lamb meatballs, which in an Indian mild makhani sauce and lamb fat toast was the one we will come back for. The cod was delicate but needed a bit more seasoning, perfectly cooked duck with delicious sides of greens and ratte potatoes. Save space for dessert, if you are lucky, you'll get the secret cheesecake, today's special had a pumpkin caramel sauce on biscoff base and the chocolate mousse was beyond usual fayre with crystallised toppings that made it moorish. Highly recommend. Book in advance as it gets busy. Posher tables inside, or covered tent area to the front with benches but surprisingly warm with ceiling heated lamps with option of blankets if you need them. Lovely friendly staff who really knew their stuff and provided excellent recommendations.

lunch on sunday was outstanding. thanks very much to the team. we followed our server’s advice and between the two of us had four small plates and the meat sharing platter with two sides and two desserts. was probably a couple dishes too many but was nice to try a lot of the menu as a first timer. service was just how i like it - a thorough menu explanation and then very much left alone to enjoy the food and atmosphere. we sat outside in the heated terrace and it was a pleasure to watch the kitchen and expo work so calmly. it was an outstanding meal so thank you very much. highlights: the beetroot & blackberry and leek & pistachio small plates, the roast pork on the meat platter and the poached pear dessert.

This place popped up on my Instagram, thought I’d give it a try with some buddies of mine. Upon first impressions the menu seemed like an eclectic mishmash of cuisines. We ordered a selection of dishes to try, according to our friendly waiters suggestion. We had the marmite toast, which was buttery and umami laden. However the subsequent dishes were somewhat lacklustre. They lacked a depth of flavour or smokiness that would usually be associated with open fire cooking. Particularly, the duck had one dimensional flavour profile with a haphazard smattering of pesto-esque sauce. Overall, it was a decent experience, but given the price, portion size and location this is a one off try for me.
