After reading previous negative reviews we were worried about our booked stay, however we had such a great time. On check in we were upgraded complimentary and shown straight to our room which had great amenities, a lovely big bath and a great waterfall shower. We relaxed around the pool in the afternoon and wondered around the town in the evening. The next day we booked in for a Thai massage which was a great massage and perfect finish to our trip.

Loved this place. They care about you having a great stay and the decor is bonkers. If you like sleek lines and white - it's not for you. It's opulent and feels like you've stepped into another country and not off of the M25! Thank you I will be back. Solo travellers - you will love it1

Sadly it didn't live up to the hype. Venue is stunning and really well done. We had a Sunday roast and while the wine selection was good, the food was disappointing. Starters and dessert 🍰 good, but the mains were dreadful, and I mean dreadful. Stale Yorkshire puddings, cold veg and very very fatty meat, like 40% of it. Not for us, won't go again.

Went for my 21st birthday stayed in room 7 shower tiles on floor were loose nearly slipped when wet, mirrors surrounding the shower were cracked and damaged. Asked for there to be some decoration for birthday occasion, got told this would be no problem and all i got was an a4 piece of paper saying happy birthday. Food menus basic and extremely overpriced along with everything else thats there. Mirrored ceiling was filthy dirty with god noes what on it. Don’t even get a kettle with some tea or coffee. Overall very overrated and over priced wouldn’t recommend to be honest and for the price of the room you would expect some more amenities in the room to make the stay enjoyable.

I Stayed at the crazy bear this weekend for a one night get away. The staff was super friendly on arrival and we had a lovely entrance. During drinks we had staff members having public arguments about other members of staffs dress code. This was in the middle of the lounge so everyone could hear, it was very awkward. The room we stayed in was very expensive. Yet it had no tea or coffee, and the phone didn’t work for us to contact room service. We had a neighbouring room playing dance music until 11:30pm. In the end we had to get dressed, leave the hotel (into the street) walk into the bar and ask someone to check the room as we couldn’t phone them due to the phone not working. The staff knocked on the room but it was empty, forcing the staff to enter the room to find someone had just left loud music on and gone out. We then awoke at 3am with same room slamming doors and shouting. I understand this isn’t staffs fault but it gives an idea of the clients at the bear. The crazy bear is a good location but it’s extremely overpriced for dull dingy rooms with no extras that warrant the cost. The toilet was separated by a curtain and right next to the bed. You have no windows to open and it’s very stuffy in there even with the air conditioning on. I’d say if you’re visiting this place be mindful it seems to be aimed at people going on a night out and coming home late for somewhere to pass out/continue the party, more than the luxury hotel experience it portrays.
