Had the afternoon tea service at 2pm for a wee treat. Was an amazing experience overall. We had a dedicated server and guide for the room we were in who gave us some a bit of history along with our service. They refill your tea whenever asked and you can choose from a wide selection of options. You don’t have to finish your tea before asking for another to try. My favourite was the apple and cinnamon tea. I’m a picky eater and our courses were served in a pre set fashion, entrees, sandwiches, scones and the desserts. The entrees were ok, sandwiches (again I’m picky so I let my bf eat most), the scones were absolutely amazing! So cakey and warm, I was told they were made fresh that day and I could tell. The clotted cream and strawberry jam alongside were delicious. The desserts were good, the mini pumpkin pie was the star for me. Overall I went to come back again, was a great experience and I can’t stop thinking about the scones

Always wanted to visit, so we had breakfast on our first morning, which was wonderful. The ambience was lovely, as was the food and staff (especially our fellow Yorkshire lass). Decided to book onto the tour the next day as we had missed the last one of the day. Well worth it for the information and history of the building that was very well presented. Made sure my friend and I who have some mobility problems were ok with the stairs and he got us a lift where possible. The staff in the shop too were very friendly and I would definitely go back. My friend is going for afternoon tea on her next visit next month.

Yes , yes, dining in one of the Willow Tearooms designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Art Nouveau modernist genius, is cool. But what I was most impressed by at lunch was that I could order just the afternoon tea desserts and not the full tea! 😃 I enjoy attending teas for the company, but I admit....finger sandwiches are truly not that exciting for me, no matter who makes them. But wow, all five treats on that plate were amazing, especially the treacle tart pictured up front. 🍽️ My quiche was also good, but the coleslaw side was way too dressed and sweet for this American's coleslaw standards. Went through the museum after, which was worth the extra $$!
