The Magnificent awe inspiring Compton Room has definitely got the ‘wow factor’. It is adorned with ornate plaster work dating back to the Victorian era when it was the hotel ballroom.

What a wonderful hotel as the name depicts, Grand. Super atmosphere as you enter the Hotel. Great location near to the promenade. Staff make you feel really welcome. Food is delicious obviously depending on what you order. So next time you visit Hastings get yourself along to the the Grand Hotel and have an afternoon cream tea. 😋

We stayed for a spa break, extremely comfortable bed and very friendly staff. The service was exceptional. We were served by a friendly young lady called Poppy who really went above and beyond making us feel welcome. It was a very lovely weekend. The food in garden grill was delicious, great facilities and lovely entertainment. Would definitely stay again

This is a most elegant hotel, where service and professionalism is in abundance. It is quintessentially British through and through, like going back in time to better days of politeness and standards, so often missing nowadays. Relaxed, comfortable warm and friendly. The rooms are spacious, elegant and spotless. The Grill restaurant was excellent both in quality of fare and service. My dinner and breakfast were served on piping hot plates, my tea in silver pots and the table dressed in white linen with silver cutlery. The staff always immaculate in their livery, always ready to serve, help or just say hello. The location as you might expect is the best available at Eastbourne. I was surprised just how lovely the seafront is here, absolutely charming, old England at its best with an unspoilt seascape void of any ugly turbines. Would I return for another visit? Most definitely.

We visited The Grand for my wife's 70th birthday treat. We were greeted with a lovely welcoming. Our room was also fabulous. Unfortunately, some of the dining experience let our visit down.... During breakfast a few problems occured. Firstly, i had no knife on my side plate. Secondly and more importantly, my wife finished her breakfast and I was still eating. The waitress came to the table and took her plate away. This is rude and simply bad manners and unacceptable. It's such a shame for an establishment of your quality to fail with some really simple mistakes. Let's hope these matters get corrected .
