Lovely hotel . Really warm welcome. Room was beautiful and comfy bed and pillows. Unfortunately the hand towel rail in bathroom was hanging off the wall and despite reporting it immediately we arrived it was still hanging off the wall when we left 3 days later.

We were invited back for a complimentary stay as we had room issues last year with rotting windows & bad weather!! The windows were due to be replaced shortly after our initial stay which they indeed were on our visit second time around. We had a little trouble re booking as calls were not returned and it was difficult to get through on the phones at certain times of the day. However Karen was fantastic and sorted it all out for us in the end. The room was very big, spacious, huge bed, huge bathroom with a lovely walk in shower and separate bath. Everything looked very modern neat and clean. Would have been nice to have had a bottle of water in the room as it did get warm in there and maybe the little packets of biscuits you can get in other hotels. We didn’t have dinner this time around as last time we felt it was a bit hit and miss with choices and availability of selected wine. Breakfast last time, was a bit like a scrum in a dining hall with not much left, but everything this time was fresh, topped up regularly and delicious. The spa was a lot better this time also , the pool was busy during family swim but plenty of adult swim times available, all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The gym had just what you need for a workout (albeit some equipment was quite old) It however was nice and quiet. There were 2 weddings on during our stay, Karen made sure our room was in a quiet part of the hotel. The weddings gave the hotel a nice buzz. The location was perfect for us, tucked away on the outskirts of Chester, Ubers were easily available for about £11 one way. We enjoyed having the freedom to go out and explore in the car and not have to worry about finding parking spaces and paying extra for parking. The members of staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. We really did enjoy our stay this time around and we shall definitely be back! Thank you for offering us the opportunity to return.

Loved every minute of our stay. Room was large and comfortable. Staff all so helpful especially the lovely lady on reception. Food was average . We had an allowance of 30 each for dinner but still had to pay a service change on top of that which we weren't expecting. Breakfast ok. Food and plates weren't hot. No coffee machine. However will be back again as the break was wonderful.

Me and my friends came here for a spa break, the treatments were very amazing! The spa itself looks a little tired and could just do with a freshen up, there was five plastic ‘deck chairs’ which were very uncomfortable and if people were sitting on them you had nowhere to sit around the pool, jacuzzi missing plastic around the edge. We had a friend not come due to illness and at first they wouldn’t give us those treatments which were actually paid for, but they said space became available so we did get them and they were very relaxing treatments. The room was really nice however there was ripped wallpaper on the wall which made it look scruffy and the signal was terrible so we only picked up one channel on the tv, tried to connect fire stick but it wouldn’t work. We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice but the service was awful!! The worst service I’ve ever experienced. We left our room at 19:30 and returned at 21:30! We asked for the bill and they didn’t bring it over so we had to go up and get it ourselves (the restaurant was empty) don’t know why they couldnt bring over the bill. The music in the dining room was like being on hold on the phone it was dreadful! Decor very tired, felt it was more suited to the elder generation. Also they forgot one dessert. Then we had to come back as the bill was wrong! Breakfast there wasn’t much left when we go there. The ladies on reception very helpful and couldn’t be more lovely. Generally it looks a lot nicer outside (it has potential to be lovely) but it could just do with a freshen up looking tired in places. The main issue was the service. Don’t think we would stay here again.

24 hours before our stay I rang up to book our table in the restaurant, they told me they couldn’t see our hotel booking and they were fully booked so there was nothing they could do. Not the best start. Luckily, our travel agent was able to sort it out. Upon arriving at Crabwall Manor, the exterior was very pretty, however, the reception/restaurant area smelt like a care home. As we approached our hotel room, we were greeted with a plate full of pizza leftovers from the previous guests which had just been left outside of our door. We told staff about this twice, they didn’t do anything about it both times. On the third time they finally moved it. Very disappointing! The Superior Double hotel room itself was large and light, however, in the room we found remnants of the pizza toppings on the floor, we found a number of long pink hairs in the bed and all over the bathroom floor, there was a suspect stain on the bed throw and a number of dirty marks on the curtains and one of the plugs by the bed had something stuck in it so we were unable to use it. That afternoon we used the gym and spa, the gym had a good variety of machines and free weights etc although a little dated, the spa consists of a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room with a separate section for treatments and massages. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was out of order which was disappointing. That evening we entered the restaurant area, where we were told that the main bar had been closed as they had a wedding on. The restaurant had a very awkward atmosphere as there was no music and little to no ambience. The waitresses were really attentive and sweet! The food was nice but overpriced. We slept well in the hotel room, it was nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Overall, it was quite a disappointing experience and we won’t be going back.
