The Old Library, is a dynamic, functional meeting space in the heart Digbeth, Birmingham’s creative quarter. You will find our venue just ¼ mile from the city centre.
This beautifully restored Victorian building is the last of Birmingham’s five original Free Library’s opened in 1866. Located next to the Custard Factory complex, the venue is an interesting alternative space for your meeting or event. Within the venue we have our main space and smaller space the Reading Room, then in our parent building Zellig we have Zellig 210, another smaller meeting room. The Zellig building is a hub of creativity complete with sculptures, unusual architecture and quirky reception. Our friendly team look forward to working with you on your next event.

January 2025This events venue in the Digbeth district of Birmingham made a highly favourable impression. As its name suggests, the building was once a library though its arched windows lend a church-like vibe. The catering was first class and the venue's team were helpful in so many ways, going out of their way to ensure we were well looked after from stepping through the door to departing.
