Visited with my sister recently to use the pool and go for a couple of spa treatments. The pool had a hot tub, steam room & sauna alongside it that were lovely and clean. Changing rooms were a great size, with lockers & hair dryers available. Treatments were fantastic and we'll worth the money. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit!

Just back from an incredible stay at Ardoe House Hotel – honestly, one of the best Hotels I’ve been to in a long time! What a belter of a mansion, with traditionally decorated rooms that ooze charm and showcase beautiful period features. A lovely log fires crackling away when you walk in, super friendly check-in and the food was nothing short of superb. The staff were fantastic, and as for the bed? So super comfy, the pillows were tip top. And to top it all off, the breakfast was simply amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough; will definitely be coming back here next month.

The building itself looks like a castle. Inside gave a regal feeling as well. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful Great room very comfortable and good shower. Breakfast very good buffet . The staff were not very good at keeping it stocked with all the items right down to running out of coffee cups The hotel is dog friendly for a small charge. Parking close to the front of the hotel can be a challenge if they have events on but they do have more parking to the side of the hotel

First impression of the hotel is that it’s very grand looking from the outside. Inside, in some areas, the hotel needs updating, other areas could get away with no chance as they pass for more of a classic old fashioned vibe. The hotel rooms are nice enough and the en suites are lovely. I was looking forwards to using the spa and gym facilities - it’s great to stay in a hotel that has this. As much as I enjoyed using it, the spa seemed dirty. The changing rooms were absolutely disgusting with what looked like years of dust and hair all over the benches and floors. Because of this I doubted the cleanliness of the sauna and gym equipment.

Had a Spa Day with a few friends, booked the £69 deal but it isn’t the bargain we thought we’d got. The spa treatments were fine enough. However, 2 of my friends didn’t get a chance to change beforehand so received massages while wearing their tights? They were also shocked to see one of them was pregnant, even though we were there for a baby shower and had emailed several times about this before booking. We were never offered our £10 spa voucher. The “light lunch” we were offered was a sandwich, which came with a handful of rocket and crisps. I’ve had better at garden centres. They whole day was a bit rushed and a bit rubbish for what we spent, we emailed after to address our concerns and it’s taken 3 weeks to come to any resolution. The lack of aftercare has soured it even more. There doesn’t seem to be a manager and if there is, I’d be surprised if that is who we have been speaking too. Will never return, purely due to the abysmal handling of our complaint afterwards.
