Stayed here last night for a one night stay. Absolutely fantastic! The staff go above and beyond, and are all so friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and a good temperature, and the bed very comfy. Shower over bath in bathroom was nice as you don't often get baths in hotels anymore - nice to relax after a long day. The bar was open until 11pm, witch was perfect for relaxing of an evening and the drinks of good price. We ate, lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel, all perfectly cooked and very tasty with good size portions for a good price. The ambiance of the hotel is lovely and the view from both the hotel and our room was stunning! I will definitely be returning, can't rate this place highly enough!

Disappointingly only stayed the one night - should have been more as the hotel commands an excellent position Westward beyond the M5 motorway Gloucestershire Services across the River Severn to the hills in Wales. Staff service from reception to the restaurant was 1st class. An extensive food menu along with an interesting 'cloudy' ale and wine selection made for a great meal. Retiring to the bedroom benefiting from an unusual mini bar along with its fantastic views and restful silence made for a good night's sleep.

What a beautiful hotel filled with amazing staff who went above and beyond to make my short stay very pleasant. The high location of the hotel gave a breathtaking view and I was fortunate to enjoy the vista on the outside terrace for dinner and breakfast which was peaceful. My room had lots of character with exposed beams and a fantastic countryside view. Everywhere was clean and the staff in every area of the hotel were welcoming. ***** high recommendation

Firstly, the food was fantastic! The only reason I have only given 4 starts is due to the fact the carpets need changing in the rooms and hallways as they look are old and grim. The staff were great, they were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are clean but basic,..a little disappointed, TV barely works, bedroom light intermittent, several unsightly areas of deterioration and the toilet doesn't drain with standard use. Grounds are charming but it must be said that the marquee does spoil what would be a gorgeous view. Food was tasty but a little pricey, even when ordering with a voucher. Staff are all very pleasant and a credit to the Hotel. All in all, its been an enjoyable stay.
