We booked this indirectly through our travel company, McKinlay Kidd, and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was a lovely hotel, the staff were all courteous and helpful. We only had breakfasts there since dinners were fully booked for large events but didn’t mind going into the town center for dinners.

We had a lovely afternoon tea. Everything was so delicious and freshly made. We booked the table for four people, but asked for 3 portions as children shared one. The staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful interior, car park in front of the hotel. Highly recommend.

Nice old Hotel. Rooms extra large. Very nice. Due to lack of help, we had trouble with food service at the bar. Extra help showed up and took our order.

Our garden room With patio was nice for two days. I appreciated the air conditioning and Pam at reception. My husband enjoyed the pool area. Our dinner and cooked breakfast in the restaurant was first rate. Actually the evening meal was quite special and I told Chef Andy so. However, the menu is confusing with 2 or 3 courses and strange descriptions. Also the wait staff, though nice in the dining room, needs to be better trained and aware of the food they have. They should be proud of what they are serving as it is quite good. The breakfast staff seems a bit unhappy, not sure why.

We came here to feel the history associated with Inverness. We booked long in advance and had high hopes that this would be authentically Scottish. They did NOT greet us warmly as they claim they do. We got in at 3:45 and they sent us to an outhouse, or rather garden house from about 1995. We called and asked for an upgrade; "you have an upgrade" they said.. This went back and forth to no avail. Tried several times. No resolution or concession of ANY kind. They Don't Care. Only bright spot, Pam Oliver was nice to them. This place is a loser. Front desk Pam Oliver was nice. Other than that. Forget it!
