Being privately owned and operated we have a superb reputation for hosting weddings in this stunning building. Having 32 beautiful bedrooms, some of which include double jacuzzi baths and four poster beds in the castles circular tower, our hotel is second to none.
We have a civil ceremony license, beautiful function rooms, a highly trained management team and an award winning team of chefs which will ensure your day is one to remember. Viewing is essential to truely appreciate what a fantastic venue this is.

March 2025All the Staff were very friendly and helpful, Adrian and Ashley who took the breakfast and Dinner orders where brilliant, really nice freshly made food and good coffee, the roast dinners are superb with great portion size. The room was ok as I only booked a standard one for a work trip, they do have some special ones according to other reviews. Plenty of parking, i would book again.

Our room was spacious and had everything you’d need; sound insulation not the best but as expected from an old building like this - we were woken up one night by someone in the corridor and it sounded like they were in our room! Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant great with plenty veggie/vegan options which was a nice surprise.

January 2025rooms great, warm and spacious although loose floorboards are a worry at times. food amazing but breakfast is very small and barely worth it due it being literally 1 sausage 1 bacon rasher 1 egg and 1 hashbrown. drinks were lovely and staff ways friendly and attentive

March 2025Great location and friendly staff. The breakfast staff in particular were super friendly. Unfortunately, we booked for 2 adults plus a one year old through Hotels.com and we were charged an additional £15 for a cot without bedding for the one year old. I would have expected somewhere for the child to sleep considering it was booked for 2+1. If the price shown at booking was £149 and not £134 as shown, I'd have probably stayed elsewhere. Only other issue, which I didn't mention to be fair, was the hot water and shower being quite poor. It's an old building to be fair, but the hot water at night took a long time to come and the shower pressure is quite poor. It worked quickly in the morning but still poor pressure Overall, an OK experience potentially let down by systems between the hotel and Hotels.com
