A lavish, new boutique hotel in the heart of Holborn. L'oscar is a turn-of-the-century architectural gem, now extravagantly restored by world-leading decorateur, Jacques Garcia and L’oscar International. The hotel has been created from a Baroque-style, grade II listed former church in Holborn, a grand literary hub, and the centre of a thriving mix of bars, shops and restaurants that forms part of the city’s coolest high-end district. Imagination and attention to detail is woven into the fabric of L’oscar, from the sumptuously-decorated bedrooms, velvet and leather interiors, exquisitely-unique champagne coupes, crystal butterfly wing taps and chandelier.
Located on the first floor, The Committee Room is steeped in history. It features an original fireplace, a vaulted hand plastered ceiling and a Royal Doulton terracotta plaque carved in 1903. The formality of the oak panelled walls is wonderfully offset by the large, playful peacock painting, the Lalique bird lights and the bespoke furnishings.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation Charges Between 0 – 30 days prior to the event date – 100% of total projected charge Between 31 – 90 days prior to the event date – 75% of total projected charge Between 91 – 180 days prior to the event date – 50% of total projected charge Between 181 – and up to the event date - 25% of total projected charge Cancellation charges in excess of the initial deposit will be reduced by any revenues received from alternative business that the Hotel has been able to secure on the Client’s behalf. Definitive cancellation charges due can only be confirmed to the Client after the intended date of the Event. The Client acknowledges that the cancellation terms set out above represent a reasonable pre-estimate of the damages likely to be suffered by the Hotel in the event of cancellation or reduction and that they are not intended to operate as a penalty.

August 2024Lovely boutique hotel that knows how to do things right. Made to feel relaxed and attended to, from the minute we walked through the door. Service from all staff was fantastic and we couldn't have been happier, nothing was too much and all staff worked in harmony together.

August 2024Wonderful experience! Service was excellent, the rooms were perfect and clean, the location is right next to the tube and everything about our stay was just great. I’ve found it hard to find a good, and reasonably priced, hotel in London but this was it! It is a bit pricier than we would have liked but very well worth it. We will be staying here anytime we return to London.

June 2024We stayed two nights at the L”Oscar and we couldn’t be happier. The staff is what really shines here. We had a few small requests at the hotel and the staff did not miss a beat. Even after we checked out, my girlfriend needed a quiet space to work for a work emergency. The staff provided a quiet room, offered coffee and treats and continued to check in on her while she worked for a number of hours. We also did an afternoon tea service which was flawless and again, the attention to detail was impeccable. I can not recommend this hotel high enough, just a phenomenal hotel and staff.
