A lavish, new boutique hotel in the heart of Holborn. L'oscar is a turn-of-the-century architectural gem, now extravagantly restored by world-leading decorateur, Jacques Garcia and L’oscar International. The hotel has been created from a Baroque-style, grade II listed former church in Holborn, a grand literary hub, and the centre of a thriving mix of bars, shops and restaurants that forms part of the city’s coolest high-end district. Imagination and attention to detail is woven into the fabric of L’oscar, from the sumptuously-decorated bedrooms, velvet and leather interiors, exquisitely-unique champagne coupes, crystal butterfly wing taps and chandelier.
Located on the first floor, The Committee Room is steeped in history. It features an original fireplace, a vaulted hand plastered ceiling and a Royal Doulton terracotta plaque carved in 1903. The formality of the oak panelled walls is wonderfully offset by the large, playful peacock painting, the Lalique bird lights and the bespoke furnishings.

November 2024One of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Not only was the hotel lobby/dining areas and our room luxurious and comfortable, but every staff member went above and beyond to making sure we had everything we needed despite them clearly being very busy and us arriving early for check-in. Ali, in particular, ensured we were able to meet our work obligations and saw to it that we were set up for the rest of the trip. Hardly wanted to leave the hotel. Can't wait to come back next time we're in London.

December 2024My recent stay at L'Oscar Hotel in London was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the luxurious Junior Studio Suite. It was spacious, stylishly decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Their service was impeccable, and they were always friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully situated with stunning surroundings. The ambiance was perfect, and the hotel felt incredibly welcoming. The food at the hotel was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The location of the hotel was very convenient, making it easy to explore all that London has to offer. The festive decorations in December added a special touch and made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommen

January 2025A true gem at the heart of central London. Impeccable service and staff. The rooms are beautifully appointed and richly decorated, bringing warmth to the greyest of London days. The restaurant is superb. The breakfast service is highly recommended; as is any of the fish on the dinner menu, always excellent. Location, of course, is perfect for anyone needing access to central London easily. Have had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home away from home several times, and will continue to return. Highly recommended.

November 2024We stayed at law Oscar for four nights. We celebrated our 30th anniversary. Everything about our stay was perfect. Starting with the reception staff, Florencia, especially, to the cleanliness of the room. it was well appointed, the beds were comfortable and the amenities plentiful. Breakfast was exceptional. Although the service of the restaurant is very laid-back, so if you’re in a rush, you have to tell them otherwise know that breakfast will be a lengthy affair. We enjoyed the restaurant for lunch as well but it was a long lunch… the hotel is perfectly situated near the museums and two minutes walk from the Piccadilly and central lines and that was just perfect . We had a dream of a vacation and would gladly return to this hotel in the future.

January 20252 of my stars go to the friendly and welcoming staff. Unfortunately have to drop 3 stars over the food, which was not good or to the standard I’ve had expected. We spent 50pounds on two plates of pasta arrabbiata, which came HIGHLY recommended. We were told by our server it was SENSATIONAL. It even had the hotel’s signature logo next to it on the menu. What came out was an oversized bowl of pasta, at room temperature. The pasta needed a few more minutes in the pot to reach Al dente, as it was very undercooked, very chewy and nearly crunchy. I was worried I’d get a stomach ache after. The sauce was fine. Nothing I couldn’t have thrown together in student halls back in the day. I’ve had so many delicious pasta dishes in London and this is not in any league worth selling. Are there worse things in the world than a disappointing bowl of pasta? Of course. But when you’re paying 23pounds a serving I expect better
