The Ballroom is a stunning event space that can accommodate 245 guest for your wedding breakfast wit additional space in the Park Suite for 140. This is the ideal backdrop for your celebrations, with fantastic views across the river and wonderful original features, including gothic style windows and statement staircase.

December 2024From the initial emails with Anna regarding booking the carvery for my family of eighteen, to checking in with Peter, and dealing with Nas and Sylvia during the carvery dinner day, the service and attention to my guests and I was second to non. The gifts for the children from Santa were a magic touch and the cake for my father - who celebrated his 70 birthday a few days earlier- was very special. The hotel is in a very pretty location and the main hotel spaces are charming and not super modern, though that’s not what any of us expected. The old charm of the place and quick resolution of any requests were perfect and we felt very relaxed during our stay. Breakfast team also lovely and noted how hard working your team are. Your team at the hotel deserve a recognition - they really are a lovely bunch of people. Kind regards Pete.

March 2025The staff are exceptional. Amazingly nothing is too much for them. A lovely, sadly unique experience. From lovely cleaners who were so helpful around room 253 , when we arrived the receptionist Silvia? to the dining hall staff Indie, Jennel, Amin on the bar who all work so well as a team. I have awkward allergies, not on the normal allergy lists, but the kitchen staff ensured that none of the options had them in! Normally I have no choice and have to eat only those that won't make me ill, like them or not! So thanks to you all!

March 2025Excellent value for money. Very efficient staff, polite and friendly especially Indie, Jennel and Christine. Set meal good with enough choice, dainty portions of dessert much appreciated. Coped well with party of 40. Room was fine and everything worked but the hotel could do with some updating to make it top class. On the whole very happy with our stay especially for the price.
