The receptionist was AMAZING! Absolutely LOVED her! The room was clean and neat. The experience was lovely except for dinner. The bar/dining area wasn't busy but it took us 75 minutes to get our starters and we could hear other people complaining that they thought the staff had forgotten about them due to waiting so long. Not sure if there was only one person in the kitchen or not but we would definitely not eat there again. The food was bland and portions were tiny for the price we paid. Drinks are also expensive and there were bits in every pint of Guinness my husband got. Everything else was fab.

Though the rooms were basic, they were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The view from the window was fantastic. Also the food I have to say was delicious, both the evening meal and breakfast. We were on an overnight coach tour. The only quibble was that the room was stiflingly hot, and you could only open the window a short way, though this did not spoil our nights sleep. We would certainly stay there again.

Lovely exterior in most parts. The main areas of the hotel seemed lovely but did not have time to really explore them. Unfortunately, across the 2 rooms my family and I stayed in, there were many issues. Firstly, I would like to state the condition of the rooms as there was plenty of mould on the ceiling of one of the rooms bathrooms, in the other, the sink was broken and there was no flooring around the toilet. Did not seem sanitary or looked after at all. The rooms were decently clean but that’s all good I can say. The door to our room had an extra key hole on the front unlike any other room, which didn’t work on the inside, and the wood which attached the chain to lock the door had come loose from the wall, seeming as if someone had tried to force the door open prior to our visit. This is unacceptable as children were staying in the room and it posed to question the safety and security of the room. Overall, not very impressed with the rooms at all but the price was good and suppose you just have to get lucky to have a decent room.

I was a guest at this hotel on a coach trip last weekend. Well the room was very cold in the evening no shower cap as told by the receptionist. Dust and unhoover carpets in the room bed very uncomfortable . I think staff could have been more helpful when people are leaving to offer them help with their luggage especially if people have mobility problems . The food could have been hotter in the evenings . Beds were untidy.

One of the worst hotels in the UK in my opinion. Stayed 3 nights when away working. The rooms are extremely dated. The carpets are filthy, the barman in the evening was extremely rude. Food was mediocre at best. My employer paid the bill which made the experience slightly more tolerable. Avoid this hotel !
