Cancellation policy
T&C's + You will be invoiced upon agreement of booking details and confirmed upon receipt of 50% deposit payment. + We require full payment at least 4 weeks prior to the event or we reserve the right to cancel. + Our cancellation policy is 2 weeks prior to your event; any amendments after this time must still meet the agreed spend. + Bar Tabs and pre-ordered items are included in the agreed spend for the hire and must therefore be used on the day and cannot be refunded or used at another time. + All prices are inclusive of VAT. + All proposals are valid for 7 working days. + All pre-orders and any film choices must be received 2 weeks prior to booking. + All films must be the correct certificate for all attendees. + A minimum of one adult must be present for the entire duration for every 10 children. + Please be aware that face-paints, party-poppers, confetti or similar products will not be allowed in the venue. Damage to the screening rooms will result in extra fees. + All food and drink consumed on site must be purchased from Everyman, if you do wish to provide your own food or use an outside caterer, please discuss further with the private hire team. We make an exception for birthday cakes but ask that you provide cake knives and disposable plates. + no tickets can be sold to any private event without the prior agreement of EMG ltd.

September 2024Love this cinema..... Taking me back to the comfortable days of great cinema. The setting is classy with a great welcoming bar where you can order food, drinks and cinema tickets. The service is outstanding and on my visit I enjoyed pizza and fries that were great. Choosing a armchair to watch the movie is great.... Comfy us an understatement.... Its Everyman and Chill

August 2024We recently stayed in York for my birthday and went to the Everyman York two days in a row. What an amazing cinema experience! We were in screen 1 first which is the largest screen and our seats were so comfy. Being able to order food and drinks to your chair is such a bonus. We also went to screen 4 which is a very small and cosy screen. It felt like we were having our own private screening as no one sat in front of us. All the staff we met were super friendly and helpful. I only wish we lived nearer to this cinema as it is now my favourite place in the world.

September 2024Most definitely a good cinema experience and beautifully refurbished. Staff helpful and attentive made everyone feel welcomed.. Unfortunately this comes at a expensive admission price especially at weekends and it's for most a special occasion visit rather than a weekly visit to the cinema. If admission prices where lower than would visit more often here as its without doubt the best cinema in York.

September 2024The seats were very comfortable and the food and drink service was excellent. However, we went to watch Inside Out 2 and there was a very drunk couple next to us heckling for the whole movie (it was about 7pm on a Friday). The responsibility should not have been with the customers, but rather the staff to remove the drunk loud couple from a children’s film. I tried to contact the company via their website to raise this internally to raise this internally, but received no response. I’m very happy to pay a premium for a better experience, but in this case the experience was completely ruined and the staff did nothing about it. To pay around £30 for two of us and have a terrible experience was very disappointing.
