We have just returned to the Dormy house to celebrate our Ruby anniversary, what a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. Hotel beautifully furnished, cosy and warm. Very well fitted out. Warm welcome and all staff professional, friendly and helpful. We have stayed in the Cotswolds many times but this is up there with the best. The Spa is well thought out and there is attention to detail throughout the hotel. Beautiful grounds, even in the pouring rain😊 Cannot think of any negative comments to make. Well done to all of you, we will soon be back!

This place is amazing I loved every second of it! The spa is so relaxing and beautiful and there is even a snow room which I have never seen before. The service is amazing I can truly sit back and relax. I will definitely be returning.

Had dinner last night at the back garden, the food was good, the service was bad. I can't fault the starter, the prawn on prawn toast. Our fish mains were drowning in sauces, as were the veg and potatoes. The desert and cheese were good. We took exception at the service, ordering a 1° cru white burgundy from 2020 and we were brought the 2021 without any mention of the lesser wine they were trying to switcheroo. We asked to see the menu again to choose something else and she miraculously 'found' a 2020. I must say, it never sits well when we experience that kind of deceptive practice. Now fast forward to the end of dinner, we wanted a cocktail before our taxi came so we said we're off to the bar and we will pay up there. I went to the loo and left my wife whom they hunted down and treated like she was going to do a runner... a runner to where I don't know as were in the middle of deep dark countryside. By the time I returned from the loo my wife had been hassled to settle the bill. I guess I'm not used to going to a place where you get treated like that for moving room. Staff should be better trained to be less hysterical. We've pondered it and despite the food being good, we probably won't return because the service was poor. Trying to scam on the wine and then treating us like criminals when we were sat waiting on cocktails is absurd. There's better places to spend your hard earned cash.

I used to stay at Dormy House a few times a year before Covid and it was always very pleasant however, since the madness of the aftermath of Covid meaning that most hospitality venues are very busy, there has been a distinct and negative change in the attitude of the management here. It's almost impossible to book a treatment in the Spa and they have introduced a "7-day cancellation" policy for hotel bookings which is madness!

Spent 400 quid on dinner and paid for a very expensive 2020 burgundy that was on the menu... they tried to give us a cheaper 2021 without mentioning it.... the waitress knew as she said it was a "fresher one she found" Don't appreciate being fobbed off with a poorer vintage of wine.
