Fantastic building that has been modernised in the interior. The buildings are charming, yet also warm and comfortable inside. The grounds are picturesque and the surrounding area is brilliant for walking around to absorb country life. The proximity to great towns and country pubs of the areas is also covenant and allows guests to immerse themselves in Guildford region life. However the highlight was the staff who did their utmost to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. Truly commendable and I would definitely recommend Barnett Hill to people visiting the region who want to be immersed in the local region.

My daughter and I visited Barnett Hill for the Pamper Experience. We were treated to an outstanding massage by Lisa in the well-appointed spa. She is so professional and provides an amazing massage. The cream tea was scrumptious, service excellent. A wonderful birthday treat!

We took friends for an afternoon tea to celebrate a special birthday, and specified at booking this treat, as a scones only tea. As I had been before for a tea and scones tea I never expected to be challenged by the staff to pay for a full Afternoon Tea. The service was very bad, scones not wrapped in serviettes, as they were at my last visit. Table was left in a mess and not cleared. We were offered more tea but this time we were charged £5 per person for more tea. It seems there is no consistency, staff lack training and we felt quite neglected and dismayed by the inconsistency between my visits. I wrote to the Hotel and requested a response on this overcharge and inconsistency and am as yet to get a reply.
