We are a family run business passionate about engaging with the local community and creating unforgettable moments. Our belief is that excellent produce does not travel and we pride ourselves on using the finest that East Anglia has to offer.
The property boasts a 32 cover restaurant space, within this, a 12 seater private dining/conference room. Serving seasonal and ever changing menus all year round.
Since taking over the business in 2022, we have made the addition of our outdoor space, with a large enough footprint for an 80 seater stretch tent. The soft bark flooring, picnic benches and pergola, make both an ideal and flexible location for both team building activities and family events.
Our ambition is to create a truly immersive experience where you can both feel at home after a long day of meetings or spoil yourself as part of an indulgent staycation. With eleven beautifully decorated and well equipped bedrooms nestled next to our intimate restaurant, which is situated at the heart of this original coaching inn. The wooden beams and Hypnos beds come together in merging the old with the new.

September 2024omg this place was amazing. Very reasonably priced. the food and service throughout our stay was incredible,... my only complaint was I like a mug of coffee in the morning but they only provide cups and saucers in the room. guess I can live with this insignificant issue. thank you very much to the staff and keep up the amazing work. your passion for hospitality is amazing and shows throughout....

August 2024A family run business that the owner's take exceptional pride in running. Attention to detail is 1st class. From the welcome to showing you to your room and giving a thorough explanation of the facilities to a great meal. Not many chefs get a blue steak right but they certainly managed to nail this one. Would certainly recommend trying this hotel. The rooms are spacious.

September 2024Wow what a find!. The best meal that we have had, for many years. Every mouthful was perfection. The portion sizes were spot on, the food was delicious and the presentation was excellent. This was all topped off with the best waiter we have ever had serve us. He was professional charming, respectful, polite, humourous and knowledgeable. His delivery was honest, genuine and sincere. Thank you for making my birthday meal such a memorable occasion.

October 2024The most fantastic stay… A large group of us came and stayed before a day out in the field the next day. The Staff and owners were all fantastic. First class service, really friendly and helpful. Lovely food locally sourced. And beautiful, clean comfortable rooms. What a gem!
