Sandon Hall is set in 400 acres of rolling parkland and offers the perfect venue for a wedding. Couples enjoy exclusive use and can celebrate their day free from any distractions – it really is yours for the day!
The rooms can be used in a variety of ways. The oak-panelled Library is ideal for ceremonies, with guests then being able to enjoy drinks and canapés in the Victorian Conservatory. The 50-acre gardens abound with photograph opportunities and guests are welcome to take a stroll or just sit and soak up the atmosphere.
The Saloon provides an opulent setting for the wedding breakfast. The bride and groom can make a grand entrance down the main stairs to rapturous applause, surely a memory that will last forever. Guests can enjoy high-quality food before partying the night away.
For smaller groups, the Old Dining Room, with portraits of previous generations of the Harrowby family, offers an ideal setting for a ceremony. Offering fine views of the gardens, it is also perfect for an intimate dinner.
The Hall has featured in 'Don't Tell The Bride' the popular BBC3 show in which the groom and best man have to plan every aspect of the wedding as a complete surprise for the bride. The groom chose a 'Pride and Prejudice' themed wedding for his bride who, after wondering what sort of wedding she would be given, was elated when she saw the Hall and the day was a huge success.
Our emphasis is on flexibility and every wedding at Sandon Hall is unique and truly memorable.

January 2025We first visited Sandon Hall in Autumn 2023, and got married there in December 2024. From start to finish, everything was perfect, and we have no regrets! From our first viewing, we knew Sandon Hall was where we wanted to get married. The venue itself is stunning - photos don’t do it justice. The drive up to the Hall is impressive, just like the building itself, and the interiors are beautifully maintained, exuding an air of opulence. When we met Melissa, who became our main contact, and the rest of the Sandon Hall team, we were even more impressed. They immediately put us at ease and made us feel like individuals, unlike other venues we had visited. Instead of offering a one-size-fits-all approach, they took the time to ask questions, listen to our vision, and clearly outline the options available to us. Melissa was very much in tune with what we wanted, and we felt incredibly special throughout the entire process. Once we booked our wedding, the communication and professionalism continued to exceed our expectations. We had several wonderful meetings with Melissa and other team members throughout our planning. Nothing was too much trouble and they always had time for us. Melissa’s helpfulness, patience, humour and extensive knowledge made the planning process enjoyable and as stress-free as possible. We had so much confidence in the team that we knew everything would go smoothly on the day - and it did! Every detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and enjoy. Everything ran exactly as we had hoped. The bridal rooms for getting ready in were spacious and beautiful, and we were provided with refreshments, plus an ice bucket for some extra wine we brought along. Lexi was there to help in the morning and was a calming, reassuring presence, checking in just enough without being intrusive. We chose to have our wedding ceremony in the conservatory, which features a beautifully tiled floor, water feature, flowers and ambient lighting. It felt like a really magical and romantic place. The Saloon, where we held our wedding breakfast, was stunningly decorated - complete with a towering Christmas tree covered in glittering gold ornaments next to the grand staircase. Lawrence oversaw the wedding breakfast and toasts, charming everyone with his warmth and professionalism. In the evening, Josh ensured everything ran seamlessly and even kindly gave us a lift back to The Agency at the end of the night. We also booked both The Agency and Reeves Cottage for ourselves and some of our guests, and both accommodations were fantastic. When we opened our cards and gifts a few days after the wedding, we found that Sandon Hall had given us a small gift with a personal message congratulating us on our marriage. That thoughtful touch really exemplifies their attention to detail and meant a lot to us. In short, we can’t recommend Sandon Hall highly enough. We were blown away by the venue and the unforgettable experience. It might sound like a cliché, but our wedding day truly was the best day of our lives - and that’s in no small part due to the beautiful venue and the amazing team at Sandon Hall who made it possible. We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from our guests, who’ve commented on how impressed they were with the stunning setting, exceptional service and attention to detail. A huge thank you to everyone at Sandon Hall for making our dream winter wedding a reality! J & A
