This was our first time staying in Kings Lynn for one night stay at the dukes Head hotel. We stayed in a classic room in the main hotel, room was nice, could do with a re paint but bed comfy, our room was room 2 which was a little noisy at night due to pub across but its expected when staying in the centre. The biggest plus of this Hotel is the experience we had the Staff are superb must be the best service we have ever had at a hotel honestly the manager and staff where great. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was spot on and breakfast was great eat as much as we wanted, quality food. I will 100% be coming again in the future.

My family are home from Canada for 2weeks, met up in the bar for food, booking was very flexibile as we had to change times due to train delays. Once we arrived, a guy called Ashley and another chap who I missed his name? in the bar they were so professional, polite, made us feel so at ease, looked after us all evening, plus food was great, made our experience of the Dukes one to remember. Thank you guys, keep it up, an asset to the Dukes Head.

Stayed in the Dukes Head for one night this week. It's a lovely hotel in the centre of town. Very well presented and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was decorated well and the bed was comfy. The only thing that let it down was the breakfast, instant coffee and soggy/chewy cooked breakfast. Overall excellent value for money though.

I stayed here over the August bank holiday weekend as I wanted to be in town to meet up with friends. Having lived in the area most of my life, I was very aware of the reputation for quality and service, the hang out of the rich and famous. So, I was looking forward to actually being a guest of the hotel myself. I've been here numerous times in the past for food, drinks, training, events, and works dinners. I was advised on arrival that it would be noisy due to a wedding in the function room, but to be fair, the only noise of note were room doors closing throughout the night. I have to say that although the place was clean and the staff were friendly I was disappointed with my room. The room was tired and battered, the extractor fan in the shower didn't work, and the plug didn't seal in the sink. The only way to keep water in the sink was to keep the tap running. I did notify reception, but repairs couldn't be made until after my stay, but at least now they were aware. I noticed that the room door didn't always shut securely behind me, so I ensured I checked each time. I was provided with towels, toiletries, ironing facilities, TV, and drinks making facilities. Very limited access to power sockets, none of which were near the bed. With this being a small double room, you could only access the bed from one side as expected. The hotel was convenient for my stay, but it wouldn't be on top of the list for another visit.

1 star service at 5 star prices. The quality of the room and breakfast was very disappointing and well below the standard expected, especially for the high price charged (£180 per night). However, this disappointment paled into insignificance when there was a complete lack of water supply in the morning, and a failure of the staff to provide any apology, or the hotel management to provide any compensation (which is standard in the hospitality industry for a lack of such basic amenities). I will certainly not be returning.
