February 2025I recently stayed at the Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle and had a wonderful experience. The hotel’s amazing decor immediately caught my eye, with its stunning Victorian architecture, ornate fireplaces, and sparkling chandeliers creating a truly elegant atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally attentive, providing friendly and efficient service throughout my stay. My room was clean and comfortable, offering a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Breakfast was a highlight, with a tasty and varied buffet that included both full English and continental options. The only minor issue I encountered was that the shower took a little while to get hot, but this was a small inconvenience in an otherwise excellent stay. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the Royal Station Hotel and would definitely stay again. Its central location, just a minute’s walk from Newcastle’s main train and metro stations, makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this hotel offers a delightful mix of history, comfort, and convenience.

February 2025What an incredible find. On the way to Newcastle, straight from work in Derbyshire, we wanted a place near to the station as we were staying one night to catch a 10:00 train. £60. We were not expecting a lot, but a lot is what we got. We got a parking space right by the back door, and we entered to find a really well-kept hotel from the grand days of steam. Beautiful chandeliers, extraordinarily friendly staff on the desk, and a lovely bar. Our room was at the end of a corridor, so quiet, and it has a bedroom, a small lounge with a desk, and a bath room, with a bath. £60! For the room, not each! We've always stayed at more modern hotels out of the centre and paid at least twice the price. Never again. Thank you for a great stay.

January 2025Great location if you are late into Newcastle by train, not far to walk from the station. Rooms are ok, nothing special. Room had TV, Fridge, tea/coffee making facilities (very hard to access due to lack of gap between bed and unit). No water left in room. Only one light switch next to bed, no usb ports as found in the purple budget chain. Linen is fresh and clean though the mattress felt it had little life in it. Bed creaked a lot, poor person below!! Bathroom was huge, used the separate shower unit, very difficult to control the temperature, controls were very stiff. Managed to get a happy median but had to fiddle between freezing and scalding! Package included breakfast, a very good hot and cold selection (good quality sausages!!)Had to pay extra for a cappuccino. Most hotels have machines now that allow you to choose the type of coffee you want. Overall, a comfortable stay and I would stay again, though hoping I would get a better mattress!

February 2025Staff were really friendly, room was very clean, shower pressure was good, and I had quiet night. Added bonus of a fitness suite with pool, which is free for guests. I had a single room on 4th floor which was basic but had a fridge and the bed was big - more a 1.5x size which was great. No towels in the room but reception sorted that quickly. All in all a good stay for a great price.

March 2025After just staying here on Friday night hotel location is perfect for city centre. We were on the second floor and room could do with upgrade on decor and room wasn't hoovered properly Hotel warm enough and we were at the front of hotel but quiet enough. Carpets could all do with upgrades too overall not to bad just needs upgrading.
