Staff at reception very friendly and helpful providing us with information. Check in was very quick and our room was spacious and clean. Hotel was 5 minutes from the railway station and very central for shops and restaurants. Found the bar very expensive £17 for two wines and that was with the discount. We would have visited the bar more if the prices were reasonable. Breakfast was included in our price and was good not a big selection. No mushrooms, tomatoes or a choice of eggs. Would definitely return next time in Newcastle.

We had a most wonderful unplanned stay as our motorcycle ran a flat and we had to spend the night to have the bike fixed at Newcastle Motorcycles. Brian was most accommodating and really went a step beyond just being nice. With a complementary breakfast and drink we were set for a nice stay. The hotel is just a short walk to the center of Newcastle with all its ancient history.

Perfectly decent stay, good value, but the hotel is at the bottom end of being a 4 star. On arrival, I had to wait about 5-10 minutes to check in along with some other people as nobody was covering reception (this was around 9pm). Location is good for the station area, and the Arena. The basic double room was clean and big enough to fit a double bed and a single, along with a desk and table, however no chairs were provided in the room. Wi-Fi was good. Bathroom spacious and to the usual Leonardo standard for a double room - basic. The room I stayed in had no means of temperature control of any kind - no air cooling/warming. The weather was fairly temperate (not excessively warm during the day and cool at night), so not a problem for me, but it’s something to consider for warmer or colder times of the year - should 4 star rated hotel rooms be relying on portable heaters and fans (I presume these are available upon request)? Check out was efficient and staff were cheerful and polite. All in all, a perfectly decent hotel and stay, but not having temperature control lets it down.

Nice hotel at a decent price. Staff were very friendly. It was quiet in the corridor, so had a peaceful sleep. Didn't use the bar or restaurant but they looked nice and not too expensive. Would happily stay there again.

Good hotel which was great value for money. Large room and bathroom with a very comfortable bed, also well equipped room. Really good location. I'd recommend.
