Great spot, friendly staff, convenient location. I have a fondness for, and high expectations of, repurposed buildings and the Whitworth Locke did not disappoint. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and comfy. The coffee/bar area in lobby was perfect to hang out. The proximity to museum & library made it perfect. Easy walk to a Man City game, too! Just loved it. Wish I knew the name of the pink paint color used in the rooms---it was atmospheric and calming. Well done.

The staff couldn’t be more professional. Everyone we spoke to was an absolute delight. Our room was lovely however we did find a loose £10 (not that we complained about that) which made us feel the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned out enough from the previous guest(s). Although in fairness, the room was spotless apart from this from what we seen. The shower was a little too low down for me with no option to raise it higher which could be a problem for any taller guests. Aside from those two small issues everything was great, the building itself was stunning and was in a very convenient location for everything that we had planned during our trip. We would definitely come back here should we visit Manchester again.

I had a great stay here for just one night but I wish it had been longer. I was in a city studio room and it was amazing, the space was clean, modern yet cozy, and efficiently used with everything you need (washer/dryer, stovetop, fridge). There was clear attention to detail in the room too, including a yoga mat in the room, a cozy blanket, some tea, coffee and milk. I felt right at home, and having been on the road for my third consecutive week, that was a very welcome feeling. Good location, walkable to the train station and town center. As a result, there was a bit of noise from traffic but still had no trouble getting a good nights sleep. Staff was also friendly and useful, they stored my luggage on my checkout day for me, and gave me directions. The renovated cotton mill has so much uniqueness and character and is so well renovated, it’s almost worth staying there even just for the aesthetics. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at Whitworth Locke. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, especially Hannah who was amazing. The room was spacious, trendy and spotless clean making us feel very comfortable. The building itself is beautiful and in such a location. We would highly recommend staying here!

We were welcomed by very friendly staff on our arrival. The lobby and bar area are in a lovely conservatory space. The room was clean and well provisioned. The bathroom was the weakest link. It had no window and also there was no extractor. Unfortunately the rain head in the shower was fitted too low and I had to duck to shower (I’m only 5’11”). At night there was quite a lot of noise coming from the surrounding rooms, it reminded me of my old student halls of residence, which is not what I want from a hotel. The cafe area which is used for breakfast is also a Co-working space, this meant that it was almost was entirely populated by people working alone on laptops, taking up most of the tables. I can understand why they would want to work there as the coffee was particularly good, but for me It felt like eating in an office where everyone was a stranger. A new and somewhat awkward experience that I’d rather not repeat. Overall I would not book again.
