I stayed here recently, and it was wonderful. Beautiful building, the decoration is lovely throughout, and it even smells delightful! The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was very well designed with significant attention to detail (e.g. there are magnets to put over the radiator lights so they don't annoy you when you're trying to sleep). The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Manchester.

Had a wonderful stay here in one of the underground studio rooms. Got to do my laundry with the in-room washer/dryer, take a relaxing shower, and have a cozy night in after traveling for a few nights. Will definitely be staying at more Locke hotels as I travel this month!

My bestfriend and I stayed here for two nights and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The entire staff were really friendly, the location was so convenient to get to and around places, extra stars (if I could) for the tattoo shop right outside that allows walk ins and a homely feel at the apartment. We were given Prosecco and dark chocolate plus a hand written note that really added to girls weekend away. Thank you Whitworth!

Work trip. Good location, interesting conversion of old building. Lovely staff. Lots of thought gone into rooms that were well-equipped and had things like private WiFi, irons, kitchens. I just had a terrible dingy room with a view of a wall and lots of noise from nearby steps. Hot water was tepid. The powder pink walls are awful in such a dark space - almost like a horror film. It gets 2 stars because I had poor sleep and hot water feels like a basic for a hotel. I’m sure it’s possible to have a good time here in a decent room. PS: got a really nice, over-and-beyond response from them, so upgrading the review to 4 stars. Just be aware some rooms aren’t so nice.

I recently stayed at Saco Whitworth Locke for two nights and had a generally pleasant experience. The location is nicely tucked away within the busy area, accessible by a lovely 11 minute walk along the canal from Piccadilly Station. The hotel boasts nice decor and an inviting entrance, complemented by lovely customer service. The room was average; it lacked a bedside table and a sofa, which was a bit inconvenient. However, it did feature a kitchen with utilities, and the shower facility was great, despite the towel rail not being cleaned. One downside was the breakfast arrangement. Breakfast is served from 07:30 am by a different company and is not part of the hotel establishment, which could be improved. Overall, it was a good stay with a few areas that could use some attention.
