This is a fascinating museum that interactively shows how science and technology have changed the world. The old steam engines, locomotives, and early computers are incredibly impressive. It's a great place for people of all ages who want to learn something new and have a good time.

Went with my 11 yr old over half term and it was packed! But honestly that's a good thing how many affordable days out can you do with your children these days! They had not skimped on staff and everywhere you looked there were free extra activies for children of all ages on top of the normal exhibits, I will admit my heart dropped when I walked in as there was a line but luckily I had prebooked tickets (yes even though they are free, as we also paid for the amazingly entertaining operation ouch exhibit as an extra) and they had a very friendly staff member going through the line and letting anyone who had tickets pre-booked skip the line was we were in within 2 mins! I mean whats not to love you can get in free (though donations are appreciated) there is parking nearby but I recommend public transport as there is a free bus that runs from Victoria next to the museum and the train for two is cheaper than parking! Plus its even a good date options me and my husband did a random Saturday a while ago and then went to the gaming exhibit which I cant remember the name of but it's still going we had a lovely day wandering round then playing on some old and new consoles before heading out to a meal haven't quite braved the museum with my toddler yet but it's definitely on the list!

I can't wait for the rest to reopen when they're ready but there's still plenty to enjoy at the MOSI with kids. From the half term exhibitions like Power Up and special one off shows, talks and demos, there's always something new to explore. We also love the cafe and think it's delicious and great value. My kids love it here and I'm even happen to endure an awful northern rail train service for an hour to get here 🤣

Before I came, I expected the exhibition hall to provide some modern technology displays, but it turned out that the exhibition was more child-oriented. Families can have fun with their children all day long, and parents can spend a pleasant afternoon with them. In addition to family love, it is also very suitable for couples to relax. In short, it is a recommended attraction.

It's a free attraction in the city but you need to book your free tickets for the requisite timeslot. It's a good museum but frankly was a little let down for me given I'm from science background. I mean a lot of it is fun but felt there is a lot of scope for upgrade. Most of it was a little outdated given the movements in science and technology in recent decade. But for kids and young adults it's definitely engaging attraction with the 2nd level having some fun activities for different science phenomena.
