We stayed in the hotel on Thursday night after we wondered around Manchester a bit it was a really quick and easy 2 minute walk from the Arndale the gentleman that checked us in (I didn’t catch his name) he was amazing he let us keep our bags in reception till it was time to check in. The room itself was great the building has so much character and for the price of the rooms you really couldn’t ask for better. The breakfast was excellent could not have been better. The view of the cathedral was amazing aswell

Good, pretty typical small European hotel experience. Older building but good price for the location. 24 hour front desk was very nice and helpful. Rooms were a little dated but had everything we needed. We would probably stay here again.

The hotel is really well situated, and they had everything we needed. It was easy to check in. They have a 24-hour reception, good breakfast, and clean sheets. What's to complain about?... Sure, the water pressure could be better in the shower, and it's a wee bit scruffy round the edges, but it's otherwise clean, safe, and very accommodating.

The good: a nice large room that was reasonably clean. And, yes, very centrally located… albeit also noisy for the same reason. The bad: to get hot water in the shower required turning on and running water in the sink until warm (about 5m) and only then running the shower. Staff ranging from amazingly helpful…. like showing you how to encourage hot water to your room….to one fellow who seemed totally disinterested to hearing the answers to his own questions. And lastly, i never did quite get to the bottom of why this pub lost its licence to serve alcohol but couldn’t get it back without some serious cleaning….. !!?

The room was very warm and you couldn't open the windows to let in air and there is NO LIFT so if you have a bad back this is not the hotel to stay in you have to pull you suitcase behind you go up 3 floors. I ask to cleaner 3 time to put toilet roll in our room which they didn't. The only good thing about this hotel is the staff are amazing and the breakfast is delicious. But other then that this hotel needs to improve on getting a lift and getting the floors done and rooms up to date. Floor are squeaky and uneven you can hear every foot step when people walk pass your room. Not acceptable.
