Everyman has transformed what used to be the ground floor car park of the ABC Building on Quay Street into a unique 3 screen cinema. The cinema is approached either from the front or rear of the building via a gallery style walkway and then straight into the striking bar and lounge.

This concrete block design of the former car park has been re-created within the back bar where it forms a decorative back drop as well as practical drinks display. The concrete finish is offset against rich timber and brass panelling, plush velvet seating, polished timber floor and modern marble tiling.

Moving through the bar towards the auditoria, an intimate lounge area has its own distinctive 1960’s flair with rosewood panelling and black brick cladding. Here you can also find a unique bed style booth seat, set below a mirror panelled ceiling, perfect for large groups.

Drinks and food can be enjoyed in any of these inter-linked spaces or can be delivered direct to your seat in the screen. Each of our auditoria their own identity, whether it be the traditional rich red Screen 1, Screen 2 with its retro 70’s timber and fabric panelling or the cosy monochrome screen 3, all of which have signature Everyman comfy velvet sofas.

A little quirky & cute cinema with difference. Everyman was offering free mini movies over the summer holidays so we went to give it a try. From the moment you walk through the doors is not like your average cinema. The decor is quirky & classy. The staff are welcoming and attentive, the kids all got a bag of popcorn & a drink each and I got a coffee that was in a proper coffee cup and brought into me. All for free!! The seat are sofas and are nice and comfortable too. It was a great opportunity to sample the cinema. Which we loved and will definitely be returning to watch a full film. A few niggling: No onside parking, there is an NCP close by and street parking but both can be a little pricey. Cinema tickets are a little more than your average cinema prices at £17.10 for adults & £12.05 but it’s a nice change from the average cinema & they serve food whilst watching the show too ✌🏽 🎥 🍿 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you’re after a completely new cinema experience then I would definitely recommend Everyman. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, adding to the experience. The seating is really comfy and the spaces between you and the people in front of great. Little close to your neighbours at the side but nothing you can’t cope with. In my opinion the food didn’t live up to expectations and if we came again we’d bypass eating. The bun on my burger was stale and the special buffalo chips were just fries with hot sauce and mayo, nothing to write home about. The popcorn was soft and barely sweet. Which is a shame because the whole place is lovely. So clean and the ambience is just right. So overall great experience but subpar food.
