The venue
The Griff Inn is a spacious fully licensed bar and event space, which is just a short walk from Whitechapel station. The venue fits up to 300 guests standing and 180 seated, which includes a range of booths, sofas and tables and chairs. The venue includes a pool table, projector for presentations and a DJ booth.
The venue is run by Queen Mary University of London Students’ Union.
Availability
The venue is open to the public Monday to Thursday 10:00 – 19:00 and 10:00 to 21:00 on Fridays, but available for private hire outside these hours. We do accept bookings for areas within the venue for smaller gatherings such as work lunches, drink receptions, leaving drinks, birthday and seasonal parties during opening hours too.
We are now accepting breakfast meetings/events at the venue. The breakfast package includes a cold and hot offering and tea, coffee and juices as well as use of the AV facilities. Please get in touch for more details about our offering at the Griff Inn and to arrange a site visit.
Please note we do not accept ticketed events at this venue.
Private catering
We offer a full catered service including a tiered buffet offering, bowl food, hot and cold breakfast and any bespoke requests to fit your event. We are unable to offer our kitchen for own catering or to external caterers.
Our Christmas offering includes a traditional festive buffet as well Prosecco and Mulled wine receptions.
