Cockpit is a charity and social enterprise offering studios and business support for craft practices, with venues in Deptford and Bloomsbury.
The Deptford Learning Centre accommodates 40-50 people and has an onsite café (Tues-Fri) with catering available.
This space is ideal for workshops, meetings, events, conferences, team away days and xmas events!
Workshops and tours are also available on upon request.
This centrally located space accommodates up to 50 people, depending on the table layout. It offers AV equipment, hot water facilities, flip-top tables, chairs, flip charts, and stationery. An events assistant is available to assist with setup and clear-down, and the space is fully accessible, making it ideal for various events and meetings.

March 2020The low tide walk was an amazing experience. There were swans, Canada Geese, Egyptian geese, crabs, shrimps, clams and even an eel. All sorts of plant life as well. The guide was friendly and knowledgable and the volunteers were also great. I loved it and so did my 10 year old. Thanks for an amazing day out!!!

February 2023Excellent guided tour by friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. History, geography, wildlife and more all packaged into a two-hour muddy walk where you can see the familiar from a brand new angle. Highly recommended!

April 2018I had the chance to visit and fully experience the Creekside Discovery Centre near the start of the academic year long primary teacher Postgraduate Certificate in Education programme at Goldsmiths College in 2011. Would highly recommend it to other teachers as a fantastic opportunity for a very unique outdoor learning experience.

May 2024I attended this week as part of a Year 5 trip. It was EXCELLENT. The children (as well as myself) felt it was the best trip! We were blessed with good weather, which was great and I think made all the difference. But based on the experience I think it would have been great even with rainy weather. Tim was a great leader/guide and took us down to wade in the water. We also had a classroom based session with him which was very engaging for the children. I would highly recommend this trip to others.
