October 2024Location is ideal, decor is immaculate, and the food is indescribable. The best aspect of our evening was the service, we were served by Isabella who was attentive, patient and so helpful. Such high class service really made the evening perfect. We will be back!

December 2024My partner and I just had the most amazing lomo at Gaucho Richmond—it was absolutely stunning! The duty manager and the table server were both very kind, but there are a few areas I feel could be improved. We decided to dine at Gaucho because this month is my birthday. A friend of mine booked the reservation for us through The Fork app and applied a £50 Yums discount to the booking. She had provided all the necessary details via The Fork, which I assume would have been communicated to Gaucho Richmond through the platform. When we arrived, I informed the hostess at the front desk that we had a reservation under my friend’s name. She quickly located the booking and then asked me if there was a special occasion. I was a bit confused at that moment (wondering if the occasion wasn’t already mentioned in the booking details?), but I assumed she just wanted to confirm, so I told her it was my birthday this month. However, she remained silent with no reaction whatsoever. By the time we left, there had been no acknowledgment or gesture to mark the occasion. (We only received two glasses of champagne later, but that was due to billing issues at the front desk, which I will elaborate on below.) When it came time to settle the bill, the £50 Yums discount from The Fork app was not applied. This forced me to contact my friend, who is currently travelling in South America, to verify the booking details, all because the front desk staff did not handle the matter professionally. Since I couldn’t immediately reach my friend, I explained the situation to our table server, who kindly checked with the front desk. Only then was the discount finally applied to our bill. This back-and-forth caused unnecessary hassle and frustration, especially as this information should have been prepared and handled in advance. I strongly recommend additional training for the front desk staff to ensure they are better equipped to manage such situations and provide a smoother customer experience.
