The Royal Observatory Greenwich makes an unforgettable setting for evening events, with its fabulous views across Greenwich Park to Canary Wharf. The Observatory’s historic Flamsteed House houses the elegant Octagon Room, a very rare interior designed by Sir Christopher Wren, originally used for observing the stars. With soaring ceilings and views over London, and featuring a portrait of Charles II, it is an ideal setting for high-profile corporate dinners and receptions.
The Octagon Room is the last surviving interior designed by Sir Christopher Wren and still retains many of its original historic features. Enjoy spectacular 360 degree views of London and an elegant evening in this charming venue perfect for landmark celebrations.

The Royal Observatory Greenwich is a fascinating destination steeped in history and science. Known as the birthplace of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and the Prime Meridian, it offers visitors a unique chance to stand at the center of the world’s timekeeping. The observatory provides a deep dive into the history of astronomy, navigation, and time, with exhibits featuring historical telescopes and scientific instruments. The views from the hilltop, overlooking the River Thames and the London skyline, are breathtaking. For anyone interested in science or history, the Royal Observatory is an unforgettable experience and a must-visit when exploring London.

Must visit for history buffs. So much effort by men to perfect the science of maritime navigation and astronomy. Try to take the guided tour - it's worth every pound !

Great place to visit for anyone interested in astronomy, or science generally. The Robert Harrison marine chronometers on display are breathtaking, especially when considering they were constructed in the 18th century! Works of art as much as scientific instruments. The talk by one of the observatory staff, explaining how the Greenwich Meridian came into existence, was a masterclass in bringing a complex historical chain of events to life for a lay audience! Highly recommended.

Not really worth the £20 entrance fee, but was still pretty nice. Get there early when they first open to avoid most of the crowd. Cafe is a bit lacking in variety and quality; prices are a bit high too. There is a nice cafe down the hill at the Maritime Museum, I'd recommend that if you're needing food.

The Royal Observatory Greenwich is a must-visit for anyone interested in astronomy and history. The views of the city from the top are absolutely stunning, providing a panoramic glimpse of London’s skyline. Finding the Prime Meridian line can be a bit of a task, but standing on the meridian is a picturesque and memorable experience. The observatory’s exhibits are fascinating, and the overall visit is both educational and rewarding. Highly recommended for the breathtaking views and the unique opportunity to straddle the Prime Meridian! This is also included in Go city London Pass
