Claridge’s is an art-deco hotel in the centre of Mayfair, famous for providing timeless glamour for its guests. Afternoon tea is served in the Foyer and Reading Room, and food is on offer all day in the Foyer. Aulis, a chef’s table within the kitchen at Simon Rogan’s Michelin-starred restaurant Fera, is suited to smaller parties. For vintage champagnes and rare spirits, the Claridge’s Bar is the place to be, and later in the night one can retire to the Fumoir. The recently refurbished event spaces are suitable for a variety of events, from board meetings to A-list parties, and include the lavish 1930s Ballroom, French Salon and private meeting rooms.

Wonderfully light and well-proportioned, this graceful room features fine open fireplaces, as well as the imposing portrait of the Lady in Blue. The Drawing Room’s 18th-century elegance combines with all the modern technology necessary to make business presentations and meetings a success.

Service is top notch. They make you feel comfortable and make sure you never feel rushed. Menu is like reading a story book. Every tea has a back story. Sandwiches are super tasty. Can't go wrong. Have a tea, have two, have another, have a coffee.. just drink to your heart's content while listening to live pianist and violinist with all the time in the world! Certain heart melter! 5*

Had Afternoon Tea and Dinner and was a marvelous experience. The sandwich selection was very nice and the ingredients light and fresh, the tea and coffee were exceptional and the champagne was lovely. Dinner was fantastic and was well plated. Can't fault anything

I have never experienced a place that optimises on space so very well. Well done to the architects and designers of the rooms. The rooms are a perfect combination of adapting the old era of hotels with some new twists. I particularly enjoyed how historical accounts of the hotels guests and celebrities adorned the corridors of the lobby.

Put on your best clothes and head over for afternoon tea at Clairidge’s, it’s kind of one of those bucket list things that is totally worth it and you will never forget. Everything about the experience is just incredible from the room to the service to the food to the tea itself. Really just stunningly amazing in every respect.

You must spend at least $2k per night to get a decent room or they’ll put you in a dungeon (no lighting). I asked for a well lit room and was told that all their rooms were newly furnished! I booked the Mayfair room and it was one where photos of queen Elizabeth and celebrities hanging on the three surrounding walls. Who wants to look at photos of celebrities in their bedroom? If one truly look at the details, you’ll notice lots of stains in the carpeting? Broken picture frames, fridge not working, rusty specs on fixtures. I was so annoyed that my husband upgraded us to the Mayfair balcony room. Again, better and newer room but the choice of light colored furnishing leaves for ample opportunities of numerous stains left by prior guests. The check-in process annoyed my husband more as two of the owners teenage boys were running boisterously all of the lobby. I hope these owners doesn’t run this historic place to the ground. Pool was amazing. I expected a phenomenal experience and it wasn’t :(
