unexpectedly good! clean and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff and amazing location. due to the bad review we were a little scared but everything was really great! price-value-ratio was very good. yes, the hotel is a bit old but they did a lot to not make you realize that. would recommend and return 100%.

The Corus Hotel in Hyde Park is a clean, comfortable, and well-located gem in London, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff. My husband and I have made it our go-to place to stay in the city, and it's all down to the incredible people who work here. This is our third visit and we were once again greeted with the warm, friendly service that keeps us coming back. Dante, as always, was a delight, and his positive energy was infectious. We were also pleased to see Alice, his trainee, who brought the same bright and cheerful attitude. Together, they made this stay one of the highlights of our trip. It’s the staff at the Corus Hotel who make it feel like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to return.

Pros - Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and they have air conditioning. The location is ideal, right beside Hyde Park and less than a five minute walk from a Central line Tube station. Cons - rooms a bit on the small side. The breakfast needs improving. I would stay here again but may do room only as I'm not sure the breakfast is worth it.

Perfect location for an event nearby, but the hotel wasn't to the standard I'd expect for this part of London. It looked tired in parts, and the rooms in need of a refurb. The bathroom just about had a (very small) sink in it and you more or less had to run around the shower to get wet! I needed to use the ironing board which was a desk top based. Very strange. Talking of the bedrooms, if you are thinking of using this hotel and based on my experience, do not take your cat as there is insufficient room to swing it!

"We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM, ahead of the 3 PM check-in time, to ensure we were ready for check-in. Upon returning at 3:10 PM, we were informed that our room was still not ready and would not be available until 4 PM. This level of service is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel in central London, especially considering we paid the full rate but were unable to access our room at the designated time." ... "Bad luck !!! At 10:30 PM, the shower broke and there was no hot water. With no other rooms available for a switch, I waited for 30 mins without receiving any response from the reception."
