We recently stayed at Radisson Blu Grafton, London, and we want to commend the exceptional service provided by Vivian(sorry don’t remember his last name). We encountered an issue with the air conditioning in our original room, and Vivian went above and beyond to ensure we were promptly and comfortably accommodated in a new room. His professionalism, efficiency, and genuine concern for our comfort made a significant difference in our stay. It’s rare to find such dedicated staff who truly care about their guests, and Vivian exemplified this perfectly. Thank you for turning a potential inconvenience into a seamless experience. We will definitely be returning to Radisson Blu Grafton in the future!

The hotel is in serious need of renovation. The rooms and bathroom are outdated. The elevators are too small and not enough for the number of rooms available. However, the staff are extremely professional and accommodating. My TV broke twice, but, thanks to the accommodating staff, I was quickly fixed. The rooms, although run down, it is kept extremely clean by the cleaning staff. The breakfast has a good variety of food, all delicious. The location is superb and very close to public transport. I just hope it gets renovated soon.

We spent the previous two nights in a Premier Inn across London but had chosen to treat ourselves to a further two nights in a Radisson Blu. We booked for two nights via the Radisson Blu hotel website and the room was described as “double or twin” with an option to make a request. Although we made a request for a double room, upon arrival we were informed that “a request is not a guarantee” and we had been allocated a twin room with no option to change it! We had very narrow squeaky single beds that were not very comfortable at all. The room in general was very tired and very dated and not what we expected from a Radisson Blu. Whilst the foyer was well presented and the breakfast was lovely we cannot recommend the rooms, as our room in the Premier Inn was by far superior. Very disappointed!

Update: The day manager found a new room for us on the second floor, where the AC works beautifully—as does everything else. So I’ve averaged out my ratings to 3. Arrived at noon. Turned AC on and gave it eight hours to cool down. No luck. Called and was told someone would come fix it. I explained I was exhausted and was assured someone would come right away. When I went downstairs after admittedly only waiting 10 minutes, another lady was in the lobby with the same issue. She told the manager that she would have called but her room had no phone. The manager gave my husband and I a new room but it’s AC works no better. Sitting in the lobby exhausted because it’s just too hot in our room. While sitting here, two others have expressed complaints about no air con, and one poor fellow says his room has no remote control. Okay, maybe not a big deal, but he said the manager’s response was “there are only 5 channels.” The manager speaks in a kind (and condescending) tone, but seems to be doing nothing. Apparently, someone will be coming to address the AC issues at 7:30 AM tomorrow, but I feel like the manager lied to me 2.75 hours ago when he said there was a repair person on site. I admit I lost my temper, but this is an extremely disappointing experience. Phones missing? (Ours fell apart when I first spoke with the front desk.) Remotes missing but no solution other than “their are only 5 channels”? No air con in multiple rooms but still merrily checking people in. I will say we had a nice meal in the dining room, and the staff there were pleasant. But it does not make up for this disaster of a hotel and the terrible manager. Let the buyer beware.

This was the last hotel for our first European trip. It was four of us in the group, and we booked the family room as it said it was for 4 people. Upon arrival, we noticed that the sofa bed advertised as “a double bed” was actually smaller than that. It was also incredibly uncomfortable because it was thin and you could feel the wiring of the mattress. We complained about the size, and they agreed to put an extra bed in the room (which is why I am leaving two stars instead of just one). When I asked for the new bed, the man helping us was nice but a woman who was standing right beside him said “it’s a UK double,” and was just incredibly rude about the whole interaction. But my husband and I had been staying in doubles the entire trip and this was significantly smaller. They did bring the new bad as promised, but it was also very uncomfortable. We had to put the couch cushions underneath the mattress to sleep on it. The room was spacious as well as the bathroom. The location was right off the metro which was convenient. However, this hotel is not worth the almost $600 USD a night. We were so excited to stay here as it was the most expensive hotel of our entire trip, but it was by far the WORST. I would recommend the Portico Hotel in London. While it’s an 8 minute walk from a metro station, it’s exactly as advertised. It’s clean, beds are really comfortable, and everyone is so kind there.
