After winning the heart of the Big Apple, those award-winning steaks were soon to be found all across the States, from the windy city of Chicago to the hot sands of Miami Beach. Last year, Smith & Wollensky launched its first London site in the historic Grade II_listed Adelphi Building just off the Strand, offering a selection of signature USDA Prime dry-aged steaks and premium seafood, alongside award-winning wines and classic cocktails.
The venue is ideal for large scale parties and events such as product launches, gala/charity dinners, film premiers, award ceremonies, weddings, fashion shows and live music performances. The space can be dressed to suit any theme or to reflect your corporate brand identity.

I was recommended Smith & Wollensky by a friend who had been to the US restaurant and we were not disappointed. The welcome on arrival was cordial and I was shown to my table as my friend had not arrived yet. The waiter checked in to make sure we weren't in a rush for the theatre. When we said we weren't, we were told we had plenty of time. It's important to know that the steaks take about 35 minutes to prepare, so we ordered our starters then carried on looking at the menu to decide on the steaks. I had a 28 day dry-aged Irish sirloin with an au poivre crust. It was peppery and succulent. I'm a bigger fan of sirloin which is a cut I choose if I'm not going to go all out. Marble (aka fat) is not really a texture I enjoy so I go for the cuts without it, such as fillet. My friend had the Australian Angus Rib Eye which was perfectly cooked. The sides are usually quite poor at steakhouses, but the creamed spinach was some of the best and the Iceberg Wedge did the job - in fact, it was huge so be warned! Tomas the waiter was excellent. We appreciated is attention and flexibility throughout the meal. Asking us questions when appropriate and not interrupting our conversation. There was no rush to get us out, we sat at the table for two and a half hours. A great steak restaurant. We really are spoiled for them in London and this one is right up there with them. Will I return? Definitely.

This place is amazing; beautiful art deco room, lovely service, great food and super vibe. We went here for our anniversary and they couldn't have been friendlier. Servers came over to congratulate us, and generally just talk. Our waitress, Michaela, was absolutely lovely, warm, friendly and very good at her job. Our sirloin steaks were delicious, tender and cooked to perfection. Delicious bernais sauce and chips. Their NY cheese cake is right up there and they serve an ample portion. It's a bit pricey (just so you know) but really worth it for the quality. I can't wait to go back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I can confidently say it was the best dining experience I've had in London to date. The food was amazing, each dish was presented beautifully and tasted even better. The Irish tomahawk, in particular, was perfectly cooked to my liking. The sides complemented the meal well, and the chocolate cake dessert was top tier. What truly elevated my experience was my waiter, Tomas. His knowledge of the menu was impressive; he expertly guided me through the wine pairings and made fantastic recommendations that enhanced my meal. Tomas’ attention to detail was remarkable—he ensured that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect, going well truly above and beyond. Even managing to come out in the rain to bring me back an item I had forgotten on my way out! Smith & Wollensky is not just about great food; it’s about the entire dining experience. Thanks to Tomas, my evening was memorable in every way. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! If you’re looking for outstanding food and service in London, this is the place to be.

I haven't had a worse meal in a decade. Our reservations were at 19:00 and we were seated at 19:55. I came here for the thanksgiving dinner menu and I honestly thought that they accidentally gave me the wrong meal. The turkey is easily the worst I've had in my life. Dry, flavorless and a poor cut. The gravy had so much alcohol remaining in it I refused to use it and the putrid disks that look like anemic sausage patties were apparently the stuffing. Poor plating, every side dish tasted abysmal and the pumpkin pie was easily the worst dessert I've ever had in my life. I had to send pictures to everyone in my family because they couldn't believe how bad every plate was. Regardless of price, which it certainly was not inexpensive, it was such a horrible disappointment that I could never forget. I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but please do not come here thinking this is an acceptable thanksgiving meal or even a decent place to eat anything.
