The venue has three distinctive, bookable private spaces, each with their own quirky personality, which can be hired individually or as a whole. The 300-capacity main clubroom, our Little Havana room for up to 120 people, or our cool Casamigos Terrace which has capacity for 100 guests, or 45 seated. Our versatility means that we can host almost any event, from intimate birthday to large corporate Christmas parties.
We pride ourselves on our high levels of service and attention to the finer details to guarantee the success of your event and will work closely with you to tailor it to your requirements. If you need entertainment our talented team can turn their hand to (almost!) anything and have previously organised private cabarets, ‘Rock-eoke’, magicians, singing waitresses, saxophone players and musical bingo, to name just a few. We can arrange catering and work closely with local independent restaurants, to provide you with quality options. That way, we can support the local community while offering a wide range to suit your taste and budget.

February 2025I used to go to Embargo for a night out in my 20's. I have just turned 50 and decided that I wanted a private party, dancing the night away with my friends who were flying in from all over the world. We met with Rania Milat who is the Sales and Marketing Manager and she agreed to letting us take the whole place over for a night in January 2025. We worked together on the theme and my vision for the night and Rania went ahead and sourced absolutely everything and came up with plenty of other suggestions she thought I might like (spoiler - I loved them all!). I cannot describe how perfectly everything ran, how great of a collaborator she is, especially given that I am not based in the UK so it was all done via WhatsApp. The whole crew who were there on the night from the DJ to the dancers to the musicians to the caterers to the bar tenders to the waiters were on point and all in line with the joyful vibe we were going for. But all the credit really goes to Rania for anticipating absolutely every need - always there to change out my drink, give me a tour of all the little details, collect and store gifts which she then brought to my hotel along with the cake and other mementos from the night. But possibly my favourite "touch" was when my feet could no longer handle my stilettos, she brought me a small carpet to dance on that also fit the theme of the party. I could not imagine this party being any better in any way and the feedback we have received from all of our guests were words like "best party ever" and "what a great venue". Our guest list (160 people) ranged from age 18 to 82 and everything in between, with the majority being 40's / 50's. Most people did not sit down all night (we were there for 8 hours) and were dancing and having the time of our lives. Rania and the whole team put in so much effort on our behalf and I could not be more grateful to them or thankful that we made the decision to go with Embargo Republica as the venue for this party.

January 2025Unfortunately this was not the Cuban club I was expecting. I wanted Reggaeton and all I got was the Dj playing crazy frog and Coldplay. Probably a good vibe if I was under 22. Overpriced drinks but I could have let that slide if the music was better

January 2025Was taking a dump and the “washy washy” man (guy selling stuff in men’s toilets) UNLOCKED my cubicle from the outside and asked me what I was doing!!!! Absolutely no remorse at all either. Was sat on the loo and he just stared at me and walked away leaving my cubicle door open! My parents spent a lot on this night for my brother’s birthday and we get treated like this. He tried to sell me stuff after as well while I was washing my hands 👎 I’ve only ever left 5 star reviews on google, and this is the first time I’ve ever left anything worse. I’m not a serial ‘bad reviewer’. This place just deserved a bad review. Furthermore, the doormen were so rude (like the other reviews have stated). I had one drink the whole night because I was helping organise my brother’s party in the Havana room and the lady at the door to the room was insufferable. I tried to explain something to her and she wouldn’t listen to a word I said and simply talked over me. However, the staff INSIDE the little Havana room behind the bar and clearing up, were very nice, accommodating, hard working and a lot more relaxed which calmed me down a bit from being so disappointed in Embargo as a venue.
