St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London is a true Victorian masterpiece in the capital. The grand building has undergone years of careful restoration to provide a truly spectacular venue in the heart of London.

The restored Gothic beauty was once thought by Sir John Betjeman to be “too beautiful and too romantic” to survive in a world full of concrete and tower blocks. Against the odds, the stunning treasure of a structure remains, being dubbed London’s most romantic building.
The Hotel boasts a plethora of exquisite details and features which add to the overall elegance and romance of the building. The Gothic Revival metalwork, stunning gold leaf ceilings and hand-stencilled wall designs embrace the original character of the building.
The hotel has ten distinct and historic event spaces for your celebrations. The largest function room, Hansom Hall, can accommodate up to 475 guests. Each room is beautifully finished, offering a decadent space for your event.
The hotel offers a variety of gorgeous locations for your important photographs. The renowned Grand Staircase with a cathedral-style backdrop provides the perfect setting for both your photos and receptions. In addition, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel has a stunning roof garden which offers another iconic spot for your cherished wedding photos. The elegant space is also ideal for a few pre-wedding breakfast drinks, an afternoon tea or a moonlit champagne toast with your guests.

The hotel has an exceptional team of staff to provide impeccable service on your big day. You will benefit from the experience of dedicated events planners and enjoy first-class catering and outstanding service to enhance your event.

The architecture is grand and the front desk staff were very friendly. We booked a premium room in the Barlow Wing and got exactly what we booked. As a platinum member, we were given access to the chambers club, where breakfast, afternoon snack and drinks were offered until 10pm. Now, the million dollar question, was it worth the money? Maybe not. :)

The hotel is gorgeous. This is an amazing building. Our room was nicely appointed. I had a couple of issues. The breakfast service was g-l-a-c-i-a-l. When I am on vacation, I don't want to sit around waiting for my food. The point of having breakfast in the hotel is to eat and then get out to see London. We had to wait and wait. It made no sense as the restaurant was not crowded. They just seemed to take their sweet time. I also had an issue with the doorman. I was carrying a DSLR camera - not taking pictures. The guy approached me and says that I can't take pictures inside with a "professional" camera. First of all, I was not taking pictures. Furthermore, really? I cannot take pictures of the lobby of a hotel where I am spending hundreds of dollars to stay? Quite ridiculous. Other than these issues, the hotel was okay. The location is so-so. Long train ride to where the action is. Update: My spouse complained about the service. They took two beers and a bottle of water off our bill. Interesting choice since we complained about the breakfast and not the drinks. It makes it seem like they are not taking our complaint seriously, as if the only reason we are complaining is to get a discount.

Apart from the entry level, everything about our one-night stay in this magnificent building was atrocious. When our male receptionist advised that our requested quiet room was in front of the lifts but that we would "hear nothing" we immediately asked for another room. We were treated with a mocking attitude and were told to see how we felt about that room first. Following this advice, we found immediately that we could her every noise from the lift area as people gathered and waited for the lift. We duly requested another room and were kept waiting in the foyer for two hours during which time we were offered one glass of water each. We also had to remind staff of the time we had been waiting before finally a female receptionist organised a room. After the "glitz" of the ground floor lounge/dining area, the room itself was comfortable but there was only minimal provision for any hot drink preparation - we even had to make a special request to room service for milk. We'd had a long day of travel and were due to leave the next day. We feel we were treated exceedingly badly. After eight weeks staying in self-catering accommodations which were all beautifully hosted, each week costing roughly the same as one night at the Renaissance, this was supposed to be our celebration at the end of a long tour. We were and still are appalled at what is essentially a facade.

My recent stay at this 5-star hotel was extremely disappointing. Despite notifying the hotel and requesting assistance with luggage via the Bonvoy app, no one helped with my bags. During check-in, I received no information about the hotel’s services or facilities. The breakfast service had changed from buffet to menu selection without prior notice. A fire alarm test early in the morning caused unnecessary alarm, and staff failed to address the situation properly. An iron requested at 6 PM wasn’t delivered until 10 PM. Unordered room service was delivered despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign, violating my privacy. Overall, the service was far below 5-star standards, and no apologies were given. Suggestions for improvement: 1. Better staff training on guest assistance and communication. 2. Clear information on changes to services. 3. Proper handling of emergencies and timely delivery of requested items. 4. Respect for guest privacy and appropriate compensation for inconveniences.

As much as the building is lovely, I would never recommend staying in this hotel. The services are below the minimum standard -you ask for an extra chair in a room and you never get it. The breakfast tables in chambers club hardly get cleaned, the staff try to walk over you. They even get into a mood when you ask a question. We booked three suites for a special occasion (our wedding) and were told we would be kicked out of the hotel if we tried to take some photos in our wedding outfits. We managed to get approval to take photos after a long conversation with a rude manager the day before our wedding. Then we had to fight again on the wedding day to get photos taken, which made us late for our wedding dinner. £6,000 spent on the rooms would be better spent at the Landmark Hotel or Savoy. We were promised that we would be contacted by guest relations to follow up on our poor feedback re our stay and they never did.
