Outstanding! We had the most amazing experience at The Ampersand. Staff are all friendly, professional and accommodating. We felt so cared for here. Our room was comfortable and clean and the attention to detail in the daily room service was very professional. I would strongly recommend The Ampersand, a great hotel and a very convenient location to museums and the tube. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!

The Ampersand Hotel is an excellent choice for a pleasant, close to everything stay in London. It is walking distance from some of the most distinctive places to visit in London like the V&A (don't miss that one) and literally steps away from the train station that will take you anywhere further out. The hotel is situated in the vibrant neighborhood of South Kensington, but once you are in the hotel lobby or in your room the ambience is quiet and peaceful. It really felt like coming home. We absolutely loved the quality of the mattresses, bedding, pillows and towels, which made for restful sleep after long days exploring London. Inside the room, space is tight, but thoughtfully organized. The staff was polite and helpful without being overbearing. The whole process of checking in and out was smooth and effortless. I got to treat a dear friend to the fun "science" afternoon tea and we had a blast mixing our own lemonade and tasting the delicacies. It was my first English afternoon tea ever, so I have nothing to compare with, but it was a beautiful experience and the service was impeccable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting London, and I will certainly come again if I ever go back to London.

One night stay (Saturday) for a special occasion and near all the places we wanted to visit. Very convenient location to the Tube also local artisan shops and eateries. All staff we came into contact with were first class; didn't eat at hotel so can't comment on food. Liked underfloor heating in bathroom, rooms were well appointed.

I am eager to express our thanks to the amazing community at the Ampersand Hotel, yet I already know words will not be enough for the perfect first-London trip I enjoyed. We travelled as a family of four: two adults and a child age 4 and a child age 5. Our room had a bed and couch bed, a small kitchenette, and fantastic bath (tub and shower- plus a tv!). There were welcome robes, hot chocolate, and cookies for our children and a beautiful treat for my partner's birthday (which we were celebrating). The location could not have been more terrific- for little legs the train gave us options for a visit to anywhere in the city and there were limitless restaurants nearby with child-friendly food choices (and room service/delivery were excellent back-up options). The bed was super comfortable and the BBC cartoons were a welcome addition to relax after long days. The staff, by far, stole the cake for the most phenomenal part of the trip. They knew our names and predicted our every needs. Indeed- their presence was a dependable as family on a visit ""home" yet they also gave us plenty of privacy. The entire experience was excellence defined. We cannot wait to return. I am a picky traveler and I cannot come up with one complaint. Thank you, Ampersand team!

Beautiful hotel, in a super convenient location right next to a tube station. I cannot fault the reception staff who went out of their way to assist me with an early check in after a long flight. There was a queue of people, but check in was still organised and efficient. Everyone was friendly and pleasant and very helpful, which was greatly appreciated. The room was lovely, well appointed and decorated, spacious, comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with high end and useful products. There is a clear attention to detail that raises the hotel's profile and makes staying there a joy. I tried the room service, it was quick and delicious and well presented. I also booked an afternoon tea for some family and again, staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Staff also accommodated some food/allergy requests for one of our party with grace and care. This was my second time having afternoon tea here, and it was as flawless as the first. Oh, and I had the best breakfast I've ever had in London at their adjoining restaurant/cafe. Zero complaints. Thank you for making my stay memorable!
