I had a Royal Afternoon Tea at The Ruben’s at the Palace, and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. The sandwiches were delicious, with fresh ingredients and well balanced flavours, but it was the dessert selection that really impressed me, the cakes were amazing, each one beautifully crafted and bursting with flavour. We were lucky to have a table with a view facing the front, so we could enjoy people watching and soak in the surroundings while sipping tea. The service starts early, which was perfect for easing into the day. All in all, it’s well worth checking out if you’re looking for a refined but relaxed afternoon tea experience.

I booked this hotel due to its prime location and historic status. However, I never realized the level of service and care that I would experience. I can not adequately emphasize how impressed I was with the facilities, food, historic traditional decor, and most importantly-authentic concern and care by the staff. I was in a minor taxi accident and the staff immediately took care of me and the situation (including cleaning all of the blood off of my face and hands, getting me to the hospital [St. Thomas]) and providing appropriate aftercare. I had two breakfasts and Afternoon Tea at the hotel, all of which were delicious and elegant. I needed to get lots of sleep and rest due to my minor head injury and the comfort of the bed and room were unsurpassed. I will definitely stay here on my future trips to London and highly recommend the hotel to those who want to stay in an historic property that is well located and that is staffed by individuals who truly care about each and every person staying at the property.

My recent stay at The Reubens at the palace was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and genuine hospitality. The staff here felt like a family creating a warm and welcoming environment. This was my first experience in a luxury hotel which itself was immaculate and the rooms were beautifully designed and had some wonderful historic features. The culinary experience was equally impressive. The breakfast was delicious especially the hash brown and the homemade smoothies. The evening cocktails were also a highlight and it was a pleasure to experience a talented singer performing in the bar. I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I can't wait for my next visit.

The hotel is lovely, the staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Always greeted in such a pleasant manner. The location is great, very convenient and with great connections. Slightly annoying that it's a red route outside so there's no vehicle drop off zone etc but it's manageable. The New York bar is really good, a very relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, with a smile

The Rubens at the Palace is a luxurious hotel known for its prime location across from Buckingham Palace and impeccable service. Guests praise the comfortable rooms, delicious afternoon tea, and attentive staff. However, some rooms are considered small and can be noisy due to street traffic. Despite occasional complaints about pricey amenities, the hotel's central location and royal atmosphere make it a popular choice for those seeking a memorable London experience.
