All of our rooms enjoy natural daylight from floor to ceiling windows, black-out blinds for presentations, and sensory features such as walls of silver birch trees or a large scarlet circular table.
Each room is named after a fictional spy from British film or TV, and contains a collection of the spy curiosities (fencing masks, chemistry sets, crossbows and black boxes) to match. South Place hotel can become your personal playground, where you and your guests can eat, drink and be merry.
Named after Napoleon Solo, a spy in The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the smallest of our five private rooms is still a generous 37sqm (398sqft). It slickly transforms into a pool table, making it the ultimate after-dinner games room. Double doors open onto our speakeasy bar, Le Chiffre, increasing capacity to 90.

Stayed at SPH for a solo weekend in London and everything was perfect. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a stunning ambience and a delightful aromatic. The hotel smells amazing throughout! Check-in was smooth and as a lady travelling solo, the little things like getting help with your luggage (and without having to ask for it) really means a lot and sets the tone. I stayed in their junior suite and what a luxury experience it was. I fully indulged in the SPH experience and enjoyed the facilities to the fullest. I also dined at their 3 restaurant and the steak was so delicious, their service as always 10/10. Location: in the heart of London, but still quiet and elegant. I drove and easily found parking right off the street which you can pay for with Ringo. The perfect hotel stay!

Stunning hotel. Exceptional bathrooms with very powerful showers. We ate at the michelin starred restaurant, Angler, on the top floor which was delicious. The only downside was that we would have liked to have continued the evening by having another drink or two in the bar afterwards but the hotel bar was closed by the time we had finished our food. I opted for the vegan breakfast the following morning, and that was delicious. I would highly recommend.

I stayed here with my partner for one night. I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels in London and I wouldn’t say the rooms were up to standard. The carpet was stained in areas, the bed side table was damaged and clearly needed a coat of paint and there was marks on the table. The room really needed some TLC. We also found the service very slow, we tried ordering room service and also asked for some milk to make tea. However, no one came and we had to call up and ask again as they had completely forgot. I wouldn’t stay here again, I think there are far better hotels in London for the same price.
