The hotel was great, light, airy and of a modern design. The rooms were a good size with en suite. Beds comfortable. Very clean. BUT the breakfast was very disappointing. As I have gluten free/sugar free diet, I was happy to see gluten free bread and cereal but was very disappointed to find there was no separate toaster for gluten free bread which meant that had I wanted toast it would have been contaminated. I asked for poached eggs which looked great but had rock hard yolks. There was a great selection for people with normal diets and plenty of continental breakfast items including celery, cherry tomatoes and raw carrot batons which I could eat.

Great location in Albert Dock, good access road for dropping off luggage. Didn't stay but had family staying and met them for breakfast one morning. Breakfast selection was decent but lots of things had run out, most drink flasks were empty and the price was rather steep at 16.00 pounds per person, if you're not staying at the hotel. I imagine the selection is better if you eat earlier.

Stayed for 2 weeks for work. This hotel is a former Jury's Inn. While once a modern and sharp hotel, it's now very tired. Rooms showing lots of wear and damage. 3 times I reported the heating/cooling in my room as non functioning and 3 times nothing was done with it. The controller just flashed "assigning" and offered zero control of the room temperature. Bathroom had significant amount of black mould present which could easily be dealt with. Filthy tile grout and sealant breaking down and discoloured. Hot breakfasts were lukewarm at most. Decent enough selection but the hot options were far too cool. Restaurant/bar was pretty good. Staff in there were brilliant and the food offerings were varied and made to a high quality. This hotel is in a great location and with a bit of work and effort, it could really be a genuine 4 star hotel but the state of the rooms at the moment definitely do not reflect this rating in any way.

Great location, but I wasn't very impressed with the rooms. We came for Liverpool Comic Con, and we stayed here as it's a 30-second walk to the Convention Centre / M&S Bank Arena. However, I thought the room was quite dirty. There were stains all over the carpets, and a big dead bug squashed against the skirting board, which was in perfect view for the staff, as it was right by the door. Bathroom however was clean, which was good. Breakfast is decent in the morning, too.

Your paying for location not quality here. You can walk out of the arena and be in your room in minutes. The hotel it's self is ok, warn carpets, stained ceiling, slow lifts. The room is basic. You can tell they have tried to modernise it, but it's still dated. The bathroom sink tap was loose, so was the shower head. The doors and skirting boards had paint coming off. The bed was comfortable and clean and the view was great. For the breakfast....... Poor quality. Cheap sausages, hard bacon and what looked like boiled baby mushrooms. In the buffet area, there was a large area on the wall that had been filled but not finish or painted over. Not a good look. On a positive note, all the staff we spoke to was very pleasant and professional.
